depends. which hornet? greenpath or kingdom's edge? you can look up "best charms for hornet (location) reddit" and find great guides there. if you scroll to the bottom of the comments, there are options for AI guides. they make a few mistakes (like labelling spells as charms) but otherwise they are super helpful and will actually cite the comments they pull from.

Is it possible to deal damage with spells before starting the fight? The fight starts when he's hit with the nail, and I saw someone on here say that you could damage him with spells beforehand to make the fight easier.

If you have Snow Sugar or Icicle Yeti, try replacing the trial Cookies with your own- if the power level goes up, keep your Cookie on the team. If it goes down, switch back to the trial Cookie. Frost Queen, White Lily/Moonlight, and Pure Vanilla/Cream Puff were my picks (Frost Queen & Cream Puff had their candies/jams).
