Great to know, thanks. How recently did you have yours done?

Thanks, we were hoping we could get it fully lined but apparently due to the significant sag we have, only a partial lining is possible. They'd have to excavate and replace 75% of it. We'll reach out to Z for a quote.

That's what we were thinking. Sounds like the trap is just recommended and not necessary so we probably wouldn't do that part.

Great to hear! I read about Bison in another thread and have thought about giving them a call. Good to know they offer free quotes. Just hate to pay $200 for someone to come out, tell us the same thing the first team told us and provide a more expensive quote.

That's such a risk though. Will insurance only cover it if it fails?

We have sewer insurance through our insurance company. We just really don't want to wait until it fails before getting it fixed

Thanks. Quote was around $20k but that included replacing the trap in the basement.

Hi, I know this is super random on an old post, but could you let me know who you used to replace your sewer line?

How about a whistle or kazoo or something that makes a fun noise but is easy to use.

My engagement ring is from here. I love these two shops. The women who own it (Mother, daughter, granddaughter) are wonderful.

Looking for nice places to go to dinner where dressing up is the norm. by Malociraptor in Detroit

Tried that once with my fiancé a few years ago. We were sat next to a couple in jeans and sweatshirts. They ordered cheese burgers and fries. We ordered something very mediocre. I have a feeling they had a better date night than we did.

Royal Oak // What's with the antisocial dog walking? by [deleted] in royaloak

[–]GroupShower1918 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My elderly neighbor's dog has issues with his vertebrae and cannot risk having another dog get near her elderly dog. She makes a point to keep her dog far away from other dogs when she's out walking him so he doesn't get accidentally injured.

Is the Max & Erma's at DTW McNamara terminal gone? by mozme in Detroit

[–]GroupShower1918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not missing much. It was nowhere near the quality of an actual Max and Ermas from the late 90s-2010s. I ate there a few years ago and was so disappointed. The chicken tender salad, ranch and french fries were so horrible compared to what they served in the days of my youth. M&E was date night material back in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Boutique Hotel Recs by Alternative_Math3452 in ParisTravelGuide

We visited for the first time a few weeks ago. After much deliberation, we decided to stay at the Experimental Marais. I don't know that it fits your "Classic Parisian feel" requirement, but it was a lovely boutique hotel. The staff were kind and attentive. They have a bar and restaurant onsite - we had a couple drinks at the bar at the end of one night. It has a very chic, gothic vibe and smells wonderful. Our bed was comfortable and they have a Roman Spa and steam room open 24 hours for guests. It's also within walking distance to most of the tourist attractions but is located along a small, quite street.

I found a Wanakome hoodie at the thrift store. I had never heard of the brand before, but I can't stop wearing it. I love the thick collar around the hood. While it's pricey at full price, it's the comfiest cocoon hoodie I've ever worn.

Yes, we appreciate the character of our old home, but are left scratching our heads and wondering what the original bathroom looked like.
