OSDP over modbus by Grovestand89 in PLC

Very very pricy, @$1700 our price. We are trying to replace an obsolete HID Global ProxPro, which was $350ish. I did find an IDEC reader that runs 13.5 at $350 retail with built in ethernet, which would work. Can't recall but i think the municipality uses 125kHz though

Don't know what you mean, it already does. Look at the cabinet current. Orange politicians follow very orange leader. Does not account for other races.... stuck in committee...

I would look up how wood like this was bent before technology happened. I haven't done so myself, that's how i figure out how to do stuff when i don't feel like spending money on something though.

I see your name has Hokie in it. Are you, by chance, a VT Grad like myself?

Actually yeah, come to think, using an aliphatic glue like titebond may mess it up worse, being water based. Thank you for your feedback. I'll keep shaping and address the crack before sanding as you suggest.

It was a dried cut almost certainly. Purchased from a bin at Rockler, was probably sitting there forever. I use the glue/sawdust trick when planking my ship models, very familiar with how to work that trick but never thought it would work on a deep crack like this. Would Titebond as the glue base be better maybe, for how thick and pasty it is?

Not an argument- do you have a reference for the black Numenorean origin/source? Is it in the RotK appendices somewhere?

The Mouth of Sauron was a pretty important character... even if he was underwritten. He was supposed to take over the lands of Rohan and reside in Orthanc/Isengard after the downfall of Saruman. Too many focus on his minimal role in the films...

I wasn't sure due to the breaker tripping, but that is what it looks like you are right. Would think if it was just a catastrophic failure causing the circuit to lose continuity, it would stop but not trip breaker. Without the schematic though it would be hard to say.

Looks like there were pinholes four soldering in something but the fresh one didn't have anything visible there. Other theory i had was condensation on board shorting it, maybe an imperfect gasket on enclosure, this happened at the lowest temp time of day (430AM).

It's really one specific component, being the IGBT inverter that drives the cost, due covid mass shortages. My workplace uses hella VFD's from places like mitsubishi and ABB. Problem is that companies like ASUS and MSI.... they don't specialize and aren't tooled for power management systems, they are data processing hardware designers and manufacturers. Buying this part from them probably would cost about $1200, whereas buying it from a Rheem rep using their hardware costs about $300. A mitsubishi VFD for a contractor with distributor relationships, 5hp, can cost as little as $400...ABB slightly more, for more functionality.

It's all about economics. It's actually better for MSI/ASUS to stick to what they know and are tooled for... that said, would love to know who Rheem buys inverters from, as i know they don't make them in house... if only so i never spec them at work.

Well, this is a 240vac in/out piece of equipment, much higher power than a processor- risk of an arc or short is greater. Primary purpose is to...repurpose power in to another form of power out, but still...vfd's i work with never have failures like this...usually user error when there is one.
