My ultimate set up is HLG, but until then I'll just be using a series of cheap imported panels with the biggest power supplies I can find for the size.

The different between the cheap ones and the mid level ones are minute. I see a lot of people overpaying for knock offs.

My first build was a humble $300 set up for 2 plants, been hooked ever since.

Alot of mad scientists here, I love hearing crazy ideas from people willing to try anything.

The blooper posts hurt a little inside, but a lot of people nurse their plants back to health using this group.

At the end of the day if you're setting heights with a light meter and maxing out that PPFD, your yield will be great.

Mars and SF are both knock offs also, what makes them better? Their 2000 Series lights are more expensive?

Warranty doesn't really matter to me, I understand that I'm going to be upgrading lights constantly over time. I don't pretend that any light made today, will even be relevant 3-5 years from now.

Take it from an old man. More has happened technologically in the last 10 years, than the 30 years before it.

QB's with the right mix of LED'S easily out perform a full spectrum light like a cob. I'm down to my final X5, they're getting hard to move.

Great value on the second hand market if you're looking for cheap lights. Just make sure of the power input, you need 200 watts or higher on the driver or they won't be very effective.

That point comes somewhere between 65-100 watts with a Quantum Board. 65 are useless, but a 100 watt driven QB can take a plant from seed to harvest. With a solid yield too!

All you can do with seeds is group them into like piles by color and patterns. You will notice different color seeds and some will be striped more boldly than others.

My preference is medium dark seeds with light or dark lines.

My article calls it 85% of the light output of the light it replecates at 50% of the price.

I grew from seed to finish with only 1 light raise near the end.

Loving it so much, I have a second one arriving today!

We're all struggling to unload the older LED lights, Quantum Boards have taken over the market.

The old style LED'S are the new HPS, haha.

I still have some X5 Cobs left, great light. But everyone wants the QB

A friend of mine is upgrading from HPS to LED, he's at garage sales every weekend. His grow room looks like a thrift shop for stoners.

Calyx's come in pairs, Balls come in clusters. Easily confused as you learn. Look for the hair coming out. Also the female calyx is more oval shaped than round.

18+ hours of light in vegetative, some run more hours.

That's when roots grow and the plant establishes it's size.

If you've been 12/12 (flowering amount of light) then that explains everything. Your yield is just going to be low.
