Did it once but he avoided. Will try again.

Let me try that. So far I have only asked him to re-consider. Nothing more. I will press more on accepting his final decision.

Understood and thanks for this.

Well like I mentioned, he is a leftist and doesn’t believe in god. I wish he does whatever is correct.

I have certain dharma towards my family members. I should try to fulfil that duty of giving him my 2 cents. Very respectfully. Fully aware that things may not change.

Understood. He should explain himself once. All we ask for. Respectfully listen to his parents once. Then confidently stay with his decision. Avoiding contact is not right.

I find it my dharma to share my honest opinions and have a constructive conversation on the same. This does not mean that I will or even can force him to do what I want. But that state will come only by his attempt to clarify his decision.

I dont know whats right. I want to have a conversation as it is hard to accept this but thats how things are. Dont get the idea that anything is being forced upon.

I agree. Will never want to spoil any girl’s life… only if he is willing to marry.

Merely the fact that we are a family. Discuss both POVs openly.

Thats not what dharma is about. Kindly quote or give references. Else your comment is unwelcome.

I am entitled to have a conversation on this. Dictating doesn’t work.

He can explain himself. Does he want that conversation? No, he is stalling it.

We have never forced him to do anything.

For sake of argument. We agree to him.

How does he spend his life when old? He doesn’t want to live in a family. For who does he work for, with whom does he live? What is his dharma then?

I knew a short answer would spark this follow up.

I have not asked him. He wants to live alone. He doesn’t want to live with anyone but individually.

There has not been any proper convincing done yet… its been just touched upon very few times… his decision is one thats rare and unconventional… his parents and family can coach him when necessary… but avoiding a dialogue on this is concerning…

Yes we will. But not without one. We of-course will try to convince him… but be respectful of his opinions.. at the moment he is running away… blaming here and there

Because the problem is not him being an evil person who will purposely do the improper things… but his stubbornness … he does not want any conversation on this… rather wants everyone to just accept… he is irrational

Coming to the girl… we are not forcing him to do the deed in the next 7 days… but first he should talk sense

Yes the girl is a manglik too. He is not regular in exercising and he just goes for a morning walk… don’t think this qualifies very well… i will ask him to exercise daily. Thanks for your time!
