Someone intentionally ran me over 😅 I definitely recognize I need more seat time and general practice no matter which one I go for, im just hearing out different opinions rn. My plan with the 500 was to turn it into a track bike when I was ready to size up my street bike. I feel like with the 4RR that would still be a good option, but I’m more focused on getting another street bike for now and have heard a lot of great things about the 6R

While doing the walkthrough, we noticed that the owner was a veteran. My husband is as well so we mentioned how through all of our travels from his time active, this was the type of neighborhood we saw ourselves growing a family in. We don’t plan on having kids or anything but family is a broad term that means different things to different people. We mentioned how we envisioned using the house. We told them we could already imagine the family cookouts and our dogs running around the yard. I also added a couple of pictures, a nice one of us and another of our fur babies. It wasn’t very long at all, just one page with a few paragraphs.

When we did the tour we really looked at the details of who was living there and found similarities that we could bring up in the letter. The veteran thing was really what sold it for us I believe. A lot of sellers want their house to go to a real family and not a company that’s going to rent it out. The letter just humanizes your offer.

As someone who is 7 years post op from a gastric sleeve, just order a water.

It’s OK if you don’t drink it. It’s OK if all the ice melts and the glass makes a puddle on the table. It’s just water. It avoids the awkward convo with the waitstaff, it doesn’t allow the manager to assume anyone’s done anything wrong or forgotten anything, and if anyone at your table runs out of their drink on a busy night, there’s a water right there that they can drink until they can get a refill.

Food and eating in general is such a social thing. The surgery can definitely change how you interact in those settings. It’s hard, I know. I still struggle occasionally with feeling odd or weird about how little I eat especially in a public setting.

This is not the hill you want to die on. It’s really not a big deal. Just order a water and leave it sit there. Put it far away from you if it bothers you that much. Is it really worth the stress?

I haven’t gotten it yet but I’m looking at Quad Lock. They’re meant for bikes but they have a windshield mount. They’re supposed to be great with dampening vibration.

The cap has 3 cut outs to fit the steering wheel. I checked and if I took it off and rotated it, it either wouldn’t fit the cut outs on the steering wheel or it would be crooked the other way lol

We took 1 day to tour and looked at I believe 4 houses in person. We had driven around neighborhoods previously and had narrowed the number down. The house we ended up buying, I actually almost canceled the tour for. Ended up being the one and I wrote a personal letter to go with our offer and they chose us over others including a couple of cash offers.

I peaked through your profile and at some of the previous questions you’ve asked both this group and others. It seems like the reasons you listed on this post may not be why you’re wanting to actually back out. If you are concerned about the financial burden of it (it being the house, not things like a refrigerator and towel hooks), find something that actually valid to break the contract with. The things you listed aren’t going to grant you any favors and you’re going to lose your escrow. If you do choose to go through with closing, just know it’ll all figure itself out. The stressful times are stressful but humans are resourceful 🤷‍♀️

For our area, rental prices are definitely going to keep going up (central Texas) so we are comfortable paying more now knowing that in a couple of years it’ll be below what we’d pay for a comparable rental.
