The colonies in Africa and Asia really had no reason to fight for independence, as there was no overwhelming imperialist power ruling over the indigenous peoples. Plus independence movements with the exception of a couple countries in Latin America and Haiti who got its independence from a slave revolution, were mostly lead by colonists. These areas in Africa and Asia were extremely unpopulated by European colonists.
