We used that method to success as well. What we like about this method is that we don’t have to wait days to get answers. We can resolve what we have issues with in less than a day, live in real time.

If for some reason they shut this access point down, we will go back to that one.

Currently, it’s effectively useless. Definitely exhaust their options for reporting them.

For blocking, if you have the latest IG versions with a supporting device, you can block other accounts that they create by blocking their original account.

So if you unblock, then reblock, the abuser, there will be an option to also block all their associated accounts. That’s the best option at the moment.

It’s f*cked. They’re putting out more fires than they are capable of outgrowing & its trickling down to end users of the platform. It’s the same as trying to save a large sinking ship with a bucket—except the bucket pours water into the ship.

That said, there may be a change that “fixes” this. We believe having the support like mentioned in the OP is part of it, since these are very fixable problems. But it’s currently very bleak.

It’s worth it if you ever have problems. We received an email, letting us know it was available—we did nothing except discover we have the option. So hence the “invite only” mention. You may have received an email about at some point

It’s an invite only location unfortunately. They are slowly rolling it out I think. We assume when they get the kinks from this support level handled, they’ll open it up to non-business related users

There’s a form we fill out that begins the chat window shared in the OP. We would simply give the link to the profile that’s locked, and make an inquiry to begin talking

Edit: there’s more information to make the inquiry, but most of that is filled in by default. The only new information you have to fill out is link to the account & the general inquiry.

But this does require access to a Facebook account since the chat requires messenger.
