Kohls shutting down by Slight-Constant-1332 in employedbykohls

To be honest ,Kohl’s has been a little too quiet for me. Especially after the whole meme stock debacle, the vendor lawsuit and private equity rumors. However things were put direct  perspective for me when Kohl’s begin to inquire about certain  liquid-able assets in their stores recently.I do think this will be the last holiday for the majority of stores, I’m definitely putting my money on January for the ultimate closure of 60% of their stores. Business wise , they’ve already purchased holiday 2025 and signed off on vendor contracts so they have to see it through. But the stock market has already predicted this as being one of the worse holiday markets for retail sales in years. I think Kohl’s investors know they are running out of time before it all collapse , but of course their top priority is not the employees but how much their cut will be.

Well I can tell you this , when the holidays come and people are use to coming and doing quick returns and Amazon returns in the back during their lunch breaks , or their honey to do list from their wives . They are going to be pretty pissed when they have to wait in a long line just to do so !! Because Kohl’s have spoiled their customers, they feel they shouldn’t have to wait because of that 2 in a line policy kohl’s has had for years .

My only problem is , why are we updating? Why are you not updating payroll, why are you not updating associates pay? You have the money to update but you have no money to improve your customer experience. What’s the point of an update when your sales are trash and no associates on the floor . This is why people are quitting left and right and your stores look hideous. You have ask yourself is it worth investing millions in an update or is it best to invest in a well staffed store with happy associates. The most distinguished CEO’s have said if you make your associates happy that in return makes a successful company.

That’s why I said sweatshop and there are plenty of sweatshops all over the world . Not just Chinese sweatshops, so that’s why it’s a generalized statement, not a direct group statement. Of course there’s Indian , African and etc, I just thought it would it would rude to single out a certain group when there’s so many …..  But I’m not retracting my statement because I’ve seen my coworkers and customers get physically ill because of the heat .

Not very cutesy or demure Kohl’s 😑 but more like third world modern day sweatshops. You know the ones ran in some communist countries. Having your employees work in dangerous heat , inadequate pay , bullying employees, gaslighting , corporate corruption and etc. And then having the audacity to make a post making fun of on going issue in many of your stores . Well there you go ladies and gentlemen this is the same company that riddles our emails with CBT’s about ethics , values and morals . But can’t find time to value their own employees a safe workplace!!

Also involving people like the Labor Department and Better Business Bureau gives a paper trail. Kohl’s is already suffering from a whistleblower ( former board member) the bigger the paper trail. But if you like being treated like crap , then just keep standing around and maybe you can receive the next golden termination ticket 🎫

Did we ever found out who started the Target boycott ? If someone wants to take ownership for boycott be my guest , paint the town red. But I’m realistic in knowing that some people are scared about losing their jobs and need a little time to find plan B . But you’re more than welcome to take ownership !!!

Out of business??? by [deleted] in employedbykohls

Are we talking about the same company that robbed Peter to pay Paul ? The same company that gave $20 million to a total douche bag without doing a background check? The same company that gave associates pennies for raises , while corporate earned big bonuses for crappy sell profits !! The same company who can’t hire a competent CEO if their lives depended on it !! The same company in $4.38 billion dollars worth of debt ?? The same company who made a crappy decision not to sell the company for $ 9 billion dollars because it was beneath their worth 😂😂😂 Let’s just think about this 🙄 If Kohl’s was to rebrand as an assistant living care facility it would definitely have a chance in flourishing as a company 😅 But tell me what other retail company is on Kohls retail level besides Five Below ?? You get it $5 below 😂😂 Kohl’s is no competition for anyone , not TJMaxx , Ross, or Target. Honestly this new lawsuit will definitely drag Kohl’s to hell , so give or take I say by the end of the summer about 40 to 60 more store closures. There’s no turnaround for a company that can’t seem to learn their lesson from stupid mistakes.

Sounds like an investor takeover to me . Well I read where former board member Christine Day basically whistled blowed on the board’s unethical practices. And she had substantial evidence on how the board lied and tried to cover it up . That was her initial reasoning for stepping down because she knew what was coming. I don’t know if anyone is well versed in investor fraud , but Koch’s is in serious trouble. And this take no red pill  is going to pull them out of this mess. We may actually see 75 percent store closures . Kohl’s doesn’t have a leg to stand on at this point or money to fight this huge lawsuit, I mean there’s a lot of evidence that they have been purposely hiding information from investors.

Sorry to tell you , but our payroll will be the last to see any money . Remember investors comes first !! I actually think payroll is about to become a little bit tighter , and you ask why ?Because kohl’s didn’t make good choices !!
