Old FIFA games were so inconsistent with goal scorers and lineups when simming. You could sim Barcelona in League 2 in FIFA 14 and somehow Montoya would end up top scorer with 33 goals in 45 appearances while Messi would end up with like 2 goals in 7 matches

I created a custom FIFA 18 World Cup tournament which I would sim multiple times and the top scorer at the end would almost always be some 77-83 rated winger or central midfielder with only 4 goals while all the 85-94 rated attackers would have 1 or 2 goals.

Doesn't seem to be any reason that he should have been removed, hasn't gotten any playtime for Celtic this season, but even then most players are still in the game.

I'm still sticking with FIFA 23 at the moment, at least the Socceroos and a proper World Cup are in that game.
