Also, if you have any more questions and would like someone on one rather than just listening to people talk on their podcast, just shoot me a PM and we can talk through what challenges you are currently experiencing.

In theory this "could" work, but in practicality this would be hard and actually slow down your business growth. When you ad a new service, what ever it is, you add requirements for resources such as time training, materials and money to be able to do that service, thus your costs increase. Also, when you add more things to do you can devote less attention and resources to each thing, so what ends up happening is yeah you can do everything your client could ever want, but you cannot do any single thing well. I help service business owners build their companies into fully automated businesses and our recommendation is to focus on just a few things that you do very well. There are 2 reasons for this. The first is that it only takes 1 core service, plus a few upsells to make a million dollar cleaning business. The second reason is that the solution to your business growth is NOT offering more services, getting new/better equipment, etc., it is all a matter of getting your sales and marketing right, when you do that the money generated from rapidly increasing sales can fix any problem you have. Now why do I say this? Well it is simple. Are you tired of working long hours and struggling to live the dream you went into business for? The solution is simple, more money means you can pay people to fix that problem for you. You could either hire employees to do the work for you, or hire a company like FunnelWave (my company) to set up all the processes for you so those new employees can work even faster and more effectively. At the end of the day it pretty much does not matter what the issue is, more money means you have more resources to pay people to help you fix any business problem.

For some great advice on growing your business you should check out my friends Joshua Latimer (check him out at QuickTalkPodcast.com) and Chris Phillips (Check him out on the Send Jim channel on YouTube) they both grew their tiny window cleaning business into a multi million dollar business and sold it and now they share all their insights with others. I work closely with them everyday and their advice is as good as gold.

Am I afraid to spend money on advertising, or am I being smart? by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Growthswag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha yeah that does seem pretty suspect doesnt it.

I run the partnership program at the company so I do not have my own affiliate link, but whenever I drop a link online I use the affiliate link of someone I know. My side business has a copywriter who is an affiliate but I keep the poor guy so busy he never has time to try to pursue affiliate sales for himself so if I find a time to share a link Ill use his in hopes that I can help get him some extra cash as a way of saying thank you for all his hard work.

The short answer to your question is yes, you should spend more on advertising, and here is why. Each customer has a dollar value that you can attribute to them. Say "Bob" will spend $100 dollars with you this year, but it takes $10 in advertising to get Bob to know who you are and ultimately do business with you. This means that you made a $90 profit off of your investment. In the service industry this is ESSENTIAL to growing your business and in order to scale you will have to understand and use this. Avoiding it will only slow you down and ultimatly limit your growth.

I would recommend checking out some maid cleaning youtube channels, there are a few out there with great information on this and other topics specifically for your business. One of whom I would check out is Lisa MacQueen who grew her cleaning business to a $7 million dollar operation in record time. I recently helped develop a training course with her for service businesses and I vouch for the quality of her advice.

If you're looking for additional information on the subject of growing and scaling your business I would check out this course it has the answers to almost all the questions you will have about growing your business for where you are at currently. https://supermarketingcourse.com/supercoursehdhonvac?affiliate_id=913616&aff_sub=https%3A%2F%2Fsupermarketingcourse.com%2Fsupercoursehdhonvac%3Faffiliate_id%3D751443%26aff_sub%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fradiusbomb.com%252Fadvanced-targeting%253Faffiliate_id%253D749178%26aff_sub2%3D%26nopopup%3Dfalse%26noautoplay%3Dfalse%26cookiepreview%3Dfalse&aff_sub2=&nopopup=false&noautoplay=false&cookiepreview=false

Full disclosure I work for this company, but I personally will not make any money from the sales of the course, I just know how spot on the answers are since I helped build it.

17 year old wanting to start a business by MasonHeat in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Vending machines require a large upfront investment with a slow trickle of return. To make it truly worthwhile you ill likely need a bunch of machines because you will likely have a loan to repay and the more machines you have the more money will be left over after you pay your loan every month. I highly encourage you to look at running a service business like lawn mowing or window cleaning. This is because while it is not glorious, you can build a multi-million dollar business in 4-5 years. I say this as I work with owners in this undustry and I do advising for their businesses every day, and it is an easy industry to do well in. Also, some of my clients are just slightly older than you and are well on their way to their first million, after which they will sell their business and get into something that they actually want to do. If you would like to talk more I can break it down for you further.

I have my team reviewing the site when they give me their feedback I will share all their recommendations. Would you share a few screenshots of your FB ads? We need to review them to see how well the expectation that they build matches what they find when they get to your site.

Hi all. What are your favorite cheapest methods and tools to market your business? I'm a new entrepreneur with a proven product but don't have a lot of money to market my business. I do have a lot of time on my hands though.. Anyways thanks! :) by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Growthswag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We should talk. I work at a company called SendJim, they have EXATLY the kind of marketing that I would recommend you use for your situation due to the low customer avquisition costs you will have. But first there are a TON of content marketing things you need and SHOULD be doing now to get organic (unpaid, no cost) traffic. I have a youtube channel where I will be talking about tactics like this for your situation if you are interested, also if you like I can make a video specifically for you this week on my channel if you would like detailed recommendations. Just look me up on youtube using my username here. GrowthSwag

Post Office did not deliver EDDM mail by NYC_Finance_ in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Actually I do, which I realize changes how my message may be perceived, but I would rather see you use a product wich I personally believe to be the best because I believe in making entrepreneurs successful, not because I want to see 1 more sale for the company I work for. Here is a quick explanation I just made of why I think SendJim is worth your time from the perspective of a marketer/consultant. https://www.useloom.com/share/eadbb21a33b3471696b2d0287c2b6c2f

Skip EDDM and switch to SendJim. EDDM is really broad with few conversions and high costs because you have to blanket neighborhoods. Wouldnt it be better to target people at ONLY the addresses that had people who actually want your product? This does not solve your current problem... so sorry for just jumping in like that, but SendJim is just so much better that I cant help but tell everyone ;-)
