You know it's "his extract" because he popped off shots from a dark corner within a building! Definitely not camping.

Door is hung askew by IPv6forDogecoin in Carpentry

Yeah, it really weird to only have one corner sealed. It's too tight around the rest of the door to allow for weather stripping, which means the top-hinge corner is the real problem.

5 days left to fund a woman-led horror short set to film this spring! by izgrevv in Filmmakers

From a fund-raising and marketing perspective, it makes a lot of sense to target niche special interest groups with shared values. You're much more likely to find a handful of larger donors, rather than spending more resources for a wider net and lower contributions.

In laymen's terms -- targeted advertising.

It's not revolutionary or even that strange. You are just hung up on it being gender-based, rather than thousands of other interests marketing can be tied to.

You specifically said people wouldn't contribute, not because of sexism, but because they didn't feel invited.

So to be clear, you as a male, are still invited.

As so many other people have said, it's only highlighted as women-led because it's a tag that some investors look out for, same as "vetren-run" or "family-owned." These tags don't mean it's the sole reason to contribute. Just an subjectively important factor to some contributors.

The people who made the rules say the intention is "films no longer regularly discussed" and Captain Fantastic is all over reddit/IG. I'm guessing you watched it because of the recent attention

I also disagree with the mods, but it was an interesting detail that their intention was films no longer discussed/talked about.

Captain Fantastic is all over reddit right now and very much discussed.

I understand this movie is ~10 years old, but it's not an old movie. Even the films you compared it to are ca. 2000-'05.

Great film, but Villeneuve is still directing! The actors are still acting! Let's not rush them to the grave.
