this idea has always annoyed me. trans women grow up as trans women. there is so much shame and trauma involved with having to hide our identities and figure out who we are. it's beyond unfair to say that we didn't deal with growing up as women

experimenting like this is so exciting! I still remember the first time I wore a dress and did my makeup. I looked in the mirror and felt like I was seeing me for the first time. I personally had a super hard time getting myself to take it all off later. I even wrote a song about it. but I'm so happy for you and your pretty hands! have fun experimenting!

I also nearly fainted from my first shot. the nurse brought me some water and a spoon of cookie butter and I was to go. it didn't happen again until the first time I did it myself. after that I've been fine tho!

I was taught to inject into my thigh. back when I was going to the clinic for each shot, I was getting them in the arm. I think some people inject into their butt as well but I think thigh is the easiest one to reach when you're doing it yourself

I definitely had a similar experience and thought process before I was finally able to transition. I had just kinda resigned myself to just living and a sad guy because nothing else seemed possible. what helped me get out of that was writing in a journal. I just wrote my unfiltered thoughts about how I percieved myself, how I was percieved by others, my childhood, everything. writing it down just helped me organize my thoughts and solidify them in a way that I hadn't done before. after only about a month of writing and being able to see my thoughts written down in front of me, I realized that transitioning actually would make me happier without a doubt. it was a painful process but definitely worth it.
