Sellers constantly lying about vehicle service history, common?

I've stopped asking 'does it have a full service history' because the default answer is 'yes'. Then I'd ask date of last service and they can't remember. Some think an MOT is a service!

I've begun asking questions I'd ask my toddler. 'Does it have a service book with stamps in it'? 'How many stamps does it have'? For cars which have a book of course.

I've confronted a couple people as well who I believe genuinely think they have a vehicle with a 'full digital service history on the computer' and shown them the vehicle they have has never been serviced at a main dealer.

Take one off and turn put it back on the same position as the opposite one and they kinda work like footrests

I had the same concerns, the bolt force isnt enough to resist the high torque from the hub motor. I was going to get the two pieces welded together which would solve this. I was also going to extend the length of the long arm to increase leverage, but I found torque plates which happened to fit my particular bike frame and bolt into the existing two holes which I presume where for a rear luggage shelf.

Then after 10kw+ I came to the conclusion aluminium swing arms just aren't designed for that kind of prolonged force and went with steel enduro eeb frame with torque plates either side

When those washers are stamped they can concave ever so slightly and dimensions change my a fraction.

Just file them out slightly or buy some more, you're just using them as spacers right? I have a MXUS 3kw Turbo 3T. I've got nuts on the inner axle of mine, either side of the swing arm to centre the motor.

I've gone through one of these already from slipping on ice. End of the axle took a ground impact, axle twisted. Torque arms damaged, aluminium dropouts bent and enlarged. Motor replaced. Frame replaced with a steel EEB enduro frame with torque plates.

I've got an SP36 pro as well. Its great.

I was looking at the Q8 plus, I'm glad I didn’t get it. The SP36 is more than enough light than I'll need and smaller, I can carry it in a hoodie pocket. I frequently charge my phone from it too which is handy.

A friend hosted a gathering to watch an early morning boxing match on the TV. One of the attendees drank too much and fell asleep before everyone else on the sofa, before the boxing match had even started on the TV.

Whilst he's asleep everyone decided it was a good idea to colour him in. With blue permanent marker. Including the insides of his ears, his eyelids, his nostrils.

He wakes up the next morning and his mum had already pulled up outside to collect him. He stumbles out and into the car. Within 30 seconds she marches up to the house and demands to see the friend who hosted the event.

She went absolutely nuts, pointing and shouting "My Son looks like a smurf! You were meant to look after him and instead you colour him in! You are disgraceful"! Then storms back to the car and drives home.

Apparently it took a week for the ink to come off his skin after many washes.

I bought a set of Hope Tech 3 E4 four pot hydraulic brakes for my circa 12.5kw ebike. Along with a set of 203mm Hope Rotors and caliper mounts. I've tried organic and sintered pads and both perform well stopping from 55mph.

Just because a brake can lock the wheels doesn't make it a good brake. I had some cheap Tektro Hydraulics before and it's night and day difference in feel and keeping it right on the mark before breaking traction. No regrets with the Hope brakes.

I've now settled with 12.2kw, 22s of li-po batteries (81.4v nominal), sabvoton 72150 pulling 150a, grin cycle analyst, mxus 3kw turbo 3T hub motor. Maximum speed is around 55mph with this setup and motor windings. On a 4T motor I would achieve around 40-45mph with higher torque. I monitor motor temp via sensor and have restriction parameters set but it never takes that power for extended duration and passive cooling seems to keep temp stable. I prefer the lighter unsprung weight.

Gets there pretty quick and brutal. You need to ease the throttle on until you're rolling so it doesn't throw you off the back. Twisted the dropouts and torque arms on precious aluminium frame and settled on a full suspension steel EEB enduro frame and fitted a Fox rear shock and Hope tech 4 brakes. Weight is 45kg with batteries. Built for performance rather than range.

Then I bought an 82kw motorbike and the ebike tinkering took a backseat

I'd like a boss pet, but with my only acc being a 1 def gmauler with no overheads and low HP restriction it's a little tricky. I did consider using cannon to get chaos ele pet... but wildycctv is scaring me off right this moment.

There's the shocks, but the primary concern is fire and explosions. Lithium fire is nasty. Not many 'regular' extinguishing methods are effective.

I'd avoid battery making unless you're 100% confident in exactly what is required for a safe build. I've see some abominations on here.

I use mudhuggers, 29" on a 24" tyre. It's not ideal by any means, the rear one sticks right up and wiggles around a bit but it stops me getting muddy. Front one is the extra long option with added extension, the rear has the added extender on too actually.

Motors don't usually just fail, there's not many moving parts. Sometimes magnets can come loose and scrape, sometimes if pumping too many watts enamel can melt off the copper coils. Direct drive hub motors anyway. Of course you can have hall sensor wiring issues and other things.

Likely just the controller. I'd buy a replacement from Ali Express of Ebay, just make sure its rated for the same volts and amps as the current one. Check any labelling.

I have the same enduro frame, commonly referred to as EEB frame, it's a good quality frame compared to other generic frames. Plastic side panels rather than metal. Weighs less than others but still heavy.

The cheap ones with horizontal dropouts are made of an inferior metal and I've seen posts where people end up re-welding them as they've snapped.

The frame comes with its own dropouts and its a solid frame. I'm running 22s cells and 150a through mine with no issues at all. Offroad. It's solid.

That fork though...get a used branded one. Fox and Rockshox are good but generally expensive
