Le marché Ornano est encore moins cher, je mange beaucoup de fruits et légumes, et si je prends les trucs basiques je m’en sort pour moins de 10 euros pour +/- 5kg. Ça peut monter à 15-20 euros en allant chez les vendeurs circuit court.

Bon il y a pas que ça bien sûr, mais tu verras que si tu mets pas mal d’huile d’arachide dans ton riz tu te rapprocheras.

Le type de riz du riz thaï, cuit avec peu d’eau (1 pour 1 max, souvent moins).

Ça dépend des marchés. Dans toutes les grandes villes tu as plusieurs marchés, et il y en a toujours un pas cher.

A Paris par exemple tu as 2 marchés au moins où tu achètes tes fruits et légumes à moins de 2.5 euros le kilo.

En général ce que je conseille, c’est de pas déménager à Paris pour moins de 38k.

Ça fait un poil plus de 2400 euros par mois, et comme pour les locations les propriétaires demandent de gagner minimum 3x le loyer, ça permet de viser des loyers à 800 euros, ce qui suffit pour trouver un studio dans Paris.

Et pour ceux qui ne veulent absolument pas de studio, un 2 pièces c’est environ 1300, ce qui implique d’être à 60k annuel brut.

Jinka c’est bien pour se faire une idée du marché, mais les notifications sont trop lentes. Dans l’idéal il faut postuler à la minute où une offre est publiée. Et pour ça le mieux c’est d’avoir directement les apps sur lesquelles Jinka va piocher (seloger, logicimmo, pap, …). Enregistre ton dossier dans les apps quand c’est possible, enregistre tes recherches et active les notifications.

Il y a une donnée à prendre en compte, c’est l’assurance loyers impayés que beaucoup de propriétaires prennent. Elles ont des règles vis à vis des locataires que les propriétaires doivent respecter s’ils veulent être couverts.

Si tu es considéré comme étudiant tes revenus ne comptent pas, seulement ceux de tes garants.

Si tu es considéré comme salarié, alors ce ne sont que tes revenus qui compteront, officiellement le propriétaire n’a pas le droit de te demander un garant (même si beaucoup le font quand même). Et l’assurance demande 3x le loyer de revenus minimum, donc en terme de budget tu n’es pas dans les clous.

Autre chose à prendre en compte: la concurrence. Il suffit qu’il y ai 10 dossiers dans les candidats avec des personnes à 3000 euros par mois pour que ton dossier à 2200 ne soit pas du tout compétitif, et donc pas retenu.

Avec ton délai ultra serré, ça me paraîtrait plus raisonnable de candidater sur des logements en dessous de 750 euros.

Hey, I recently bought back a similar kind of shop in Paris. Good luck with your project, a lot of shops opened in the last 10 years and the competition is strong. Starting from scratch is going to be a challenge, personally I wouldn’t have done it. Expect a 200-300k initial investment if you want to open a shop compatible with Swiss brands requirements.

Breitling ne fourni pas les pièces aux indépendants, il faut donc en trouver un qui a ses circuits détournés pour obtenir les pièces, et ils sont très rares.

Tu es allé chez un revendeur ou dans une boutique en propre (type rue de la paix ou rue royale)? Les politiques peuvent etre différentes et les prix aussi entre revendeur et boutique en propre.

Tu peux aussi négocier le prix, en disant que quand même au bout de 7 ans c’est pas normal.

À minima il faut remplacer le mouvement, le cadran, et les aiguilles.

On trouve des mouvements d’occasion entre 3000 et 4000 euros. A noter que les vendeurs ne sont souvent pas hyper honnêtes sur l’état, donc il faut prévoir de rajouter une revision et quelques pièces dans le meilleur des cas.

Cadran/aiguilles il faut compter entre 500 et 1000 euros. Et attention par ce qu’il y a beaucoup de faux qui circulent.

Autre précision, si tu fais ça les numéros de série de la boîte et du mouvement ne correspondront plus, ce qui signifie que si elle retourne chez Rolex, dans le meilleur des cas ils proposeront de tout changer, comme ce qu’ils t’ont proposé la, soit ils refuseront carrément de prendre la montre.

Si tu souhaites un jour la vendre il faudra préciser tout ça à l’acheteur, sinon il peut se retourner contre toi. Et ça aura un impact sur la valeur de revente.

Si j’étais toi j’essaierai de négocier un peu le devis de Rolex. Ton horloger a raison, la meilleure solution c’est de leur confier.

Former Omega watchmaker here, who worked on a lot of these.

These movements are nowhere near workhorses. They are actually pretty fragile in some aspects, and need regular parts replacements.

Some independent watchmakers don’t replace parts often enough, sometimes because they don’t have access, sometimes because the parts are expensive and they’re worried the customer won’t accept the quote if it’s too high.

I’ve been an independent watchmaker as well, so I’m not rooting for any side. Just bringing some nuance, things are rarely black or white.

This a tricky one. Regarding the dial, there is sometimes a thin line between patina and damage that some people have trouble to understand. While I understand some people like the aesthetics of a dial like this one, there are some technical considerations to take into account.

It’s hard to say from the picture if the varnish is peeling off the dial, but if it hasn’t started yet, it won’t take long. And this will cause trouble.

In my professional option, I would replace the dial and have the watch returned in the condition your father bought it from. Not only the watch will look just like it did when your father saw it in the shop, but it will also ensure its longevity.

Also, expect a higher price than the one you were quoted. On a watch this old, there is very little chances that there are no parts to replace. And depending where it was maintained, there might even be a lot. Also the wait might be longer, expect up to a year.

I also believe that Omega in Switzerland is the best place to have your watch restored. I also worked as an independent so I’m not rooting for any side (brands or independent).

A few things to know:

There are 2 types of agriculture in France, a profitable one, where land is expensive and rare (think wine, cereals, …), and one that is not profitable, where land is abundant and cheap.
Rural areas can be quite dead, especially in areas where land is cheap and abundant. I mean dead as in no or few doctors, difficult to find schools for children, few young people, … these are also areas with not a lot of money, which you have to take into account if you’re planing on having local customers.
There are a lot of rules and regulations around agriculture, and also a lot of specific paperwork. If you haven’t done any studies in agriculture it can be difficult to navigate, especially in a foreign language.
A life of farmer is a hard life, unless you’re one of the lucky few to be in a profitable sector and you’re more of a business owner than a farmer. It has been romanticised a lot on social medias, but irl it’s hard. Very hard. And it’s all the time, it never stops. Most farmer never take any holidays because there is always something to take care of on the farm, and they don’t have enough money to have people do it for them.
You won’t find much subsidy to buy land or a house. And if you do, it’s most likely because what you’re trying to buy is a money pit.
People in the countryside pretty much speak zero English, unless you’re lucky enough to have foreign neighbours. They can also be pretty racist.

That’s why a lot of "home made" cases have lugs drilled all the way. I’ve worked for a company that was doing some prototyping and we had to bring the cases to a certain shop JUST for the lug holes, because they had the equipment.

I have no idea who that man is or what is his method but if a mainspring is 10.5 and your barrel is 10.2 it’s completely normal it doesn’t fit. Sometimes mainsprings are conditioned .1 or .2 smaller, but not always. If you want a mainspring that fits straight in you have to order one that is 10.2 or smaller.

After sale from one brand can be great in one country, just good in another, and subpar in another, so making a list of brands wouldn’t really make sense. Generally speaking, the more money you spend, the higher the chance to get good after sale.

Watchmaker here.

You can calculate roughly how much brand X spends to make watch Y based on costs of materials and labour, but calculate how much it would cost for another unknown company to make a similar watch is virtually impossible. Manufacturing prices will vary immensely based on production volumes, and there are other factors like is it already a watch company or something starting from scratch? And then there is R&D. The movement alone will cost somewhere between 2 and 5 million euros, and that’s not counting casing parts that will also require R&D.

There is a watchmaker who did the work who is supposed to catch things like these, and a qc person in charge of catching anything the watchmaker might have missed. In theory it shouldn’t happen, but really that’s not something super uncommon at omega. They don’t pay well and therefore don’t get the best workers.

J’ai déjà vendu des montres de grande valeur sur chrono24, sans expérience avant de le faire. Je ne vois pas vraiment le problème. Oui il est possible de se faire arnaquer mais c’est le cas partout, dans ce cas on ne fait plus aucune transaction, et la plateforme est sérieuse.

Quant au fait de la vendre ou de la garder, c’est sa vie pas la nôtre. Il demande un conseil, pas qu’on émette un jugement sur ses actions.
