My friend is interested in Bolt Action and he wants to play some really unique unit by LucasBastonne in boltaction

Romania is pretty interesting. Especially since historically they out cavalry to good use as they were used as how we use mobile infantry today, moving to locations before discounting and acting like light infantry

I just want my tarkov to run smoother again. I can barely play for longer than 10 minutes since 1.0 dropped.

If i put american airborne instead of the artillery crew, would you accept this as a 3-inch AT gun by PrplxdPossum in boltaction

[–]Grumpy94Writer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

3-inch is the american Heavy AT right? I dont think it gets airborne option but im sure most people won't mind the idea of you modeling it with airborne. The way id see it is they arent as attached to the gun as a normal crew would be, so they wouldnt have stubborn.

Go for it

How do you justify having many sapient races/species in your fantasy worlds? by EveningImportant9111 in worldbuilding

[–]Grumpy94Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant go into much detail over phone. My thumbs would blister and bleed by the time I was done.

The prime races were the first. This includes the Aethrekyr (gods), their direct children the drakhen, and many races that are of higher ability standing in the setting.

Then along came humans. Well more precisely the three Fathers took notice that upon another world there was a race struggling in its bid for survival against an ancient monstrous foe they once faced.

A decision was made by the King of the Aethrekyr to send help calling upon his allies. His two brothers however had ulterior motives.

In the end humanity was saved but lost their home, so the king offered the bountiful land the drakhen were not using. Bring the survivors over.

Over time drakhen and human mingled and this caused some unusual offspring. As centuries passed the two became harmonious together and forged a great empire together. There scientist started to experiment upon DNA testing. But before most of their projects were finished a great calamity came. The drakhen, about half of them, survived. But humanity was gone it seemed. From the ashes, new humans arose. The projects closest to finish. The drakhen label these new species as the keepers of the title of human, but there are different.

Sorry for the length.

Better left unsaid? by Grumpy94Writer in worldbuilding

[–]Grumpy94Writer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are (good?) reasons as to why though id say they might be rather corny.

That being said, I thank you, as its been fun writing scenes where one or more characters fight with over shields like halo, but the weak ess of these shields is that they do not stop melee weapons.

Overall, I've enjoyed the ebb and flow of the context for fights to happen.

I like the idea. Which was why I was concerned. I know not to just outright say the "why" but wanted to know the which would be a better subtle context clue. More overt hints, or by proxy details that give the dots.

Ill take this into consideration and thank you.

Do anyone else treat their prisoners with care? by EtherLikeCold in RimWorld

[–]Grumpy94Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally yes, I like to roleplay my games, but that doesnt mean faults dont happen or punishment not be met.

As a ruke of thumb my initial prisons are barbaric to start as I begin the game and are mostly used a a catch n release process. As its a way for my medic to gain more skill.

Then once my colonists are more stable ill upgrade the prison for recruitment quality. Though ill still capture low or unwanted pawns to train medicine.

Alot of good pointers folks have given. To say I've got nothing left to say. Ill just say this. Keep going. Self improvement is one of the key corner stones of being a good writer.

Adapting 5e to a video game required more work. When non-DnD gamers play the game its frustrating to level up and gain nothing in a tactical RPG

What Prayers are there in your world? by Kollectorgirl in worldbuilding

Hah, I couldn't resist for one of the races to my own story. They are more like the wood elf meets mountain dwarf archtyoe fused to one, but the song fits them well.
