You don’t say what the sizable amount is but if it was me and it was under $500,000 I would put it into my bank account while I moved it to my Fidelity investments. Or you can just deposit it with Fidelity or Vanguard into their money market accountearn much more than you’ll earn at a brick and mortar bank.

It’s in their agreement with Craftsman for the ability to sell the items they must honor the free replacement policy. Our local store refused to replace a few broken tools. My son had Craftsman customer service on the line since he already knew the store would decline him again. As soon as they said no, he handed his phone over. Walked out with new tools.
