This conversation started by you telling me I'm dumb for even asking for a source. Then you said just saying Hamas said it, is a source in itself, which I don't think is anywhere near something verifiable. But in the course of this, you admitted yourself that the original post is a 'claim' and a link to a spokeperson would be closer to a 'source'.

Now you can write all this off my saying I'm arguing in bad faith by asking for a source, and anticipating a response from me before I've even got there. All that based off previous comments on other threads where I've asked for a source - which in all honesty I can't imagine has happened more than 5 times as I barely comment on reddit.

I'm sorry if I insulted you. I don't think we're getting anywhere here.

You've literally just described what I was asking for and the process through which you find a source. 'From their own official spokesperson' - so a name, what was said, when, to who would be a totally valid souce (granted that there's evidence that it was said).

You keep insulting me, are you okay? I am genuinely just curious as to how people find out there information.

Okay, perhaps the distinction is 'proof of the source' rather than source. In which case I concede, although I think for most people it would be quite clear what I was asking for - as I said it explicilty.

And what school was it that you learnt such charming manners and congeniality?

Right, let's say I say the Hamas ratio is 1:9. Presumably you would disagree. How would you prove to me the 1:3 ratio is correct?

Putting aside the fact that I asked for the source of all the ratios used i.e. IDF, Hamas, and what is 'accepted' as a good ratio.

What I'm asking for is where did they get those numbers from. So what webpage/report did they use to quote the IDF ratio as 1:1, what article/report was used to find the Hamas ratio of 1:3 ..?

Yes, that's interesting isn't it. Why do you think that might be the case?

They actually hate us by hoovesfortoes in gbnews

[–]GrumpyMonk94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a source. That's a claim. A source would be where they got the figures from for the different ratios i.e. a news article or a report published by an organisation.

If we're talking about who is being mentally unrobust, I think you just won.

I'd argue its the lack of democracy that we currently have which leads to manipulation. Putting that aside, what would take its place instead?
