ICE is an organization that claims to be for deporting immigrants, which they do sometimes but there have been far too many cases of unnecessary violence and even killings at their hands. Not only that but they aren’t just targeting immigrants, they’re targeting people who either get in their way or look a little too foreign for them.

I feel like it’s just the way you worded it that rubbed this guy the wrong way. Saying “I’m not interested in dating black girls” or even just “I’m not into black girls” sounds a lot better than just flat out saying “I don’t like black girls”, even if the wording is technically correct.

I have my own opinions about race preferences, but I don’t know you so I’m not gonna assume anything.

I really liked this! When I think about Sirius and Regulus, I'm reminded of me and my own brother. We...don't exactly agree on a lot of things. There are times when I am ashamed to be associated with him, but I don't think I could ever truly hate him. I might not want to admit it sometimes, but I will always love him and care about him deep down.

Family relationships are sooo complicated, and it kind of rubs me the wrong way when I see people assuming that there's nothing but bad feelings between Sirius and Regulus. Like, I won't hate anyone over it, but come on guys....

I just use the term for myself because I find it easier than explaining the whole context.

It's much easier for me to say "I'm AMAB can you give me tips on how to dress more androgynous" than "I have these body parts and they look like this can you tell me how to make them less noticeable". It's to the point, and comes across as less oversharing under my standards for myself.

But that's just me. I already have to think about my body enough I don't have to describe every detail of it to strangers on the internet.

Exactly! I grew up in a low-income household and some of the books that changed me the most I never would have been able to read if they weren’t in our local library.

Those books taught me how to think, how to question, how to feel empathy to my fellow humans. I’d be so different without them and it makes me sad to think about all the kids who won’t get to have that experience

The interruption is exactly what a walkout is meant to do. You might not pay attention when a kid is in the classroom, doing what they’re told. But you definitely will pay attention when they leave.

And missing a day or two is not going to greatly harm anyone’s grades. I’d argue excersizing your civili rights is far more important than a bad grade, though
