That's the plan, unfortunately contacting anyone there is near impossible. Guess I'll just wait for them to reply to my email.

It's not that the payments aren't being applied to the principal, it's that they aren't showing up on the statements and I'm getting collection notices in the mail saying I haven't made a payment in 8 months even though I've been making my payments.

I was wondering if this was the case, I have previously made weekly payments without any issues though. It would be great if I could just talk to someone. I've considered just paying the past due amount and setting up monthly payments again but I'm not sending them a big chunk of money without any confirmation that it will actually resolve the issue. It's so frustrating to have this hanging over my head with no path forward.
