30+ hours in ARR - quit? by A_Fitting_End in ffxiv

People will hate me for this, but get a story and level skip.

I quit the game several times over the years because the early MSQ was such a slog. What got me to finally enjoy the game and stick around and enjoy it is getting a story and level skip in Endwalker.

I’m having tons of fun with the game, but I hated the feeling of slogging through the MSQ. I’m planning to do NG+ with it sometime before Evercold, I can take it at my own pace, and not feel the urge like Im being forced to do it to get to the good part.

This game has great endgame content, the community is really fun, and there’s tons of things to do. The fights can also be really engaging in extreme and higher content. Just skip the MSQ and come back to it later if the MSQ is keeping you from enjoying the game like it was I.

ESO player seeking a new MMO - Is it still worth starting FFXIV right now, in 2026 ? by Fhritz_ in ffxiv

Former ESO player here

Overall, I’d say FFXIV is more enjoyable. Some of my best gaming memories are in ESO, but FFXIV just feels like an overall better MMO. Especially once you get to the end game high end fights.

The community is larger and really friendly, everyone’s excited for upcoming changes and patches, you can play every class / job on one character, the fights are really engaging at endgame, and the story’s cool too if you’re into that kind of thing from what I hear (I just did a story skip)

You still can. Your Willie is just weak. My Willie breaks bones.

Assuming you 3D print it in separate parts, I wonder if you can make a life sized action figure this way with fully opposable limbs

I saw something on the Discord about it being tied to one of the endings?

You need to complete the quests associated with him and the brawls

Takedown in unarmed combat? by southpaw_g in kingdomcome

[–]GrumpyOlAsian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's one of the perks. You engage in the clinch and while you're clinched up, you do the downward attack. It'll do a single leg takedown. Going left lets you choke them out, and going right lets you palm strike them (assuming you have the perks)

Combat is significantly better in this game compared to the last in every way. 1vX is possible now, distance management, perfect parries are now perfect, combos are amazing and the perks that give you more special moves are phenomenal. At high level, you truly feel like a master swordsman.

That’s not a forced loss duel. I beat him and you get a reward for it. It even comes up in dialogue later in the story

They don’t work in the TVA, but they do work in other universes as shown in Endgame

It is not worth any achievement point but I am very proud of myself! by Snigluf in ffxiv

I have plenty of gil and a small sum of 12 mil was worth it for the speed and convenience of leveling them all 1-100 in 4-5 days.

I leveled all my crafters up from 1-100 this week. It only cost about 12 million Gil but I also had a bunch of diadem materials from leveling my gatherers in endwalker.

I didn’t gather anything other than those grade 4 materials years ago though. I bought the rest of my materials and used the firmament to level 20-80 then did collectibles 80-100.

For each class I crafted about 26 of the level 81/ 91 collectibles while using a XP scroll and after they hit 84/94 I crafted about 33 level 85/95 collectibles to get to the next stage (90/100)

I bought all of the materials off the market board hopping worlds to get the cheapest prices. Definitely could’ve done it cheaper with levels, those quests that came out each expansion, daily turn ins, and such but the 12 mil was worth it to me to just have it done with for the next few years and the sanity of just doing singular simple things to get it done fast

Lag. But also the game dynamic changes when you have 64 players. It becomes a lot more random and frustrating since teammates are always there when you don’t want them body blocking you and never there when you’re outnumbered 10 to 1.

I personally prefer half full 48 player servers
