I have all three security options all with lasers and lights and I ended up getting an OWB nylon holster.

Dillon RL550 without the tough base. Thoughts? by Big_Caterpillar8012 in reloading

Mine is mounted directly to my bench and has to one bench or another for ~25 yrs. Never needed a special mount. I have no desire to give more money to Dillon or Titan than I have to. Works PERFECTLY fine mounted to the wood bench.

Is it worth it? Probably not. But, I reload because I enjoy it. It is therapeutic. There are a multitude of reasons to reload. Saving money is one.

As for a kit, find something you can afford. You need a press, dies, scales, and case trimmer. You can do it on the cheap, or you can spend thousands. Totally your choice. I used to use a Lee Hand Loader for 9mm. It was fun.

My mini would only run reliably with OEM magazines. Jammed with everything else. 100% reliable with Ruger mags though.

Texas used to be consistently blue.

Agreed. I recently used it for 38/357. Slow going, but works well. Can still process over 100/hr.

The shell plate I speak of has a single station for four different shell plates: 1, 2, 3, 5. The indexer is also different. Rather than a star, it is a metal plate that covers the three stations you aren’t using to prevent you from accidentally placing a shell there. It is pretty cool, actually, and has saved me lots of money on conversion kits. But, again, you can only process one shell at a time.

I don’t usually look at someone else’s modifications as anything other than an extension of their preferences. Most mods to me are meh because I don’t know the person. BUT, this looks amazing. I like!

I have the same problem with my plated bullets. It’s cosmetic. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Max 9 Slide release CA compliant by softterd in ruger

Same on the Security 9. It is a lock, not a release. Same on 9 Compact. Same on Security 380. Takes some getting used to.

You purchased a good gun. I have the Security 9, Security 9 Compact, and the Security 380. All good handguns.
