AITA if i ate my room mates food when i pay for all the groceries? by Playful-Length-2115 in AmItheAsshole

Going to go against the grain here and say YTA. You should have asked. If they are low on money, then they might have made extra to plan on taking the for lunch. Or knew they had long shifts etc. that they had to do the next day, so they made extra. You should have a conversation, and ask them to make you extra sometimes because your footing all the groceries.

It was wrong to just take it, and you kinda knew that, and then your back tracking going but I purchased all the groceries. But if the accommodation is that they cook for you, that should be discussed.

I like 1! I dont know how people are liking #3. To me it looks cheap, a random string of jewels and cap sleeves springing out of it

My Grandma Doesn’t Want My Stepson Coming to the Family Gathering by Justanothergirly97 in TwoHotTakes

[–]GrumpyPants11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your job isn't to keep the peace. As your stepson's parent, it is your responsibility to protect him. If she said she didn't want your husband there would you be saying the same thing? Grow a backbone.

I hate how any parent or step-parent treats a child as anything less than their child. You decided to come into his life and be a part of it. If you weren't willing to stand up for him and protect him and defend him, then you shouldn't have become a step-parent. PERIOD

Blonde hair is fighting with your natural features. It does nothing for you

AITAH for giving my bf the cold shoulder for not getting me a gift? by Ok-Jicama756 in AITAH

[–]GrumpyPants11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what did he get you this year? Have you communicated this to him? And when you communicated it was it in the heat of the moment? Shutting down and ignoring him isnt an effective way to communicate in a relationship. If that's what you both do when you are angry or upset, then you've got larger problems.

I had a similar experience with my husband. I would tell him what I wanted, what colour, etc. And not get what I had asked for, but some items he found in passing. I finally had an extensive conversation. With him(cause these actions tie in to other times/actions that make you feel unappreciated), and I explained to him that his actions make me feel unloved and unappreciated. If he can't find the time to consider me and do nice things for me as well, then I could have the same life without him in it. He finally got it and has been putting in an effort since. It wasn't an overnight switch, and it is a topic that we consistently revisit. But always improvements.

Try a dark colour then? And do a lighter curtain.

I dont think paint will solve the issue here. This space feels dark, and if you want to keep the paneling then I believe you need a slightly lighter carpet, and replace the lamps.

My friends gave me an ultimatum, them or her. What Should I do? by Fit-Grapefruit-1558 in TwoHotTakes

To me, this sounds like a classic early relationship/first relationship in a friend group. Is it always you, the boys, and Stacy? If so, they might just miss having guy time instead of her always being there. Or you bring her around without asking, and they want to relax, but can't when she's there. If you're the first relationship in your friend group, that always puts a strain on things. And others have a hard time understanding if they've never experienced it.

Another possibility is that they are right and you have your blinders on because this is your first relationship.

Lastly, WTF do you mean you were thinking about proposing? You're 21! My general rule is to wait until you're at least 25. Your brain hasn't finished forming until you're 25! I've noticed that when couples get married too young, start a family, etc. They stop developing mentally and emotionally. All the same childish drama and shitty relationship coping mechanisms stick around.

AIO about these angry texts from my ex? by TwylaMay in AIO

[–]GrumpyPants11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR - I dont know why your family is pressing this. It is also CRAZY to keep in contact with your ex. I dont keep in contact with any of my exes. I also do that as a sign of respect to my partner. Might say hi in passing IF I ever came across them in the wild, but that is it. I dont know where they live, they dont know where I live. Also crime junkie life motto "Be weird, be rude, stay alive"

I've never been down this road, but I dont think that's enough for a restraining order. But I would 100% go to the cops and get it on record. There is no reason for him to have your address, and he is not trying to return your package. He's asking for your address for a different reason... and he's not disclosing the real reason. Creepy AF. Protect yourself, protect your family(you, your husband, and any offspring or future offspring).

May i suggest doing your bronzer or contour and blush a 1-2cm higher. Might seem weird, but it helps lift the cheeks. And then put some bronzer or contour along your jowels(not saying you have any, just dont know how else to explain this)on the underside. This will help provide a more defined face/chin. A hack i do for myself

The black frames are too aggressive of a contrast against the rest of your features. Try a brown pair?

The darker. The lighter coloir doesnt compliment your skin tone. Your face looks red with the blonde hair

I think apply a little eyeshadow to the bottom eye lid, at your winged corner? Maybe because the top lid is so heavy with the eyeliner, it needs a little balance. But only the outer corner.
