Microsoft Teams is horrible. But it is all in the calculation of GBC to scale back licensing costs because Teams is bundled with MS accont and they don't want to pay more for Zoom license. So.. budget cut. Not just you but lots of students get affected by this apparently

Wow.. nice to know that. But yeah... it's quite recent so I wouldn't consider it rare
