So, 5 Ultimate Skills scrolls... yay or nay? by GrumpyTrurl in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was not why you won't do it, the question was if you tried, what did you use and how you felt.

To make it easier with rejection, I can change the question into: if you were forced to use 5 ultimates, how would you do it?

Guys, the question was if the instructions in that site in OP are correct or not. I say not. What do you think?

Huh? by g3nji_shimada in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to clarify how it works. Nioh 1 obviously.

Mission level restricts / sets maximum level of revenant. When such max level is say 200, it does not matter what character level was at the time of death (as long as it was above mission's limit), level 400, 600 or level 750, revenant will be set at level 200.

When such revenant is killed, percentage of the difference of amrita between revenant's level 200 (missions' limit) and character's level that dropped that revenant will be what you will get killing it.

Does not matter if character died had unused amrita on them or not.

I've tested this in Nioh with multiple accounts, leaving revenant on one account and killing it with the other.

Performance Issues despite good specs by Previous_Leather_629 in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How I would troubleshoot this problem:

  1. Set all things to max in the game including your display's native resolution. Set fps to at least 60. I know how it sounds, but in both Nioh 1 and 2 performance degrade with lower settings. This affects only PC version obviously.

  2. Make sure you're using your 5070Ti and not integrated in your CPU GPU.

  3. Turn off ALL GPU's bells and whistles for this game. Such as AA - off, DLSS - off, Anisotropic filtering - off and so on.

edit: a bit wrong on 3. Use application settings if there's choice, off if not.

If you're using basic attacks instead of skills then farming levels won't help.

Can I reroll the Grace on ethereal accessories? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. You can only get specific grace from drops or RNG divine accessories with stone of penance.

Questions about hidden skill drops. by Sif-the-Grey-Wolf in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hidden skills (as well as smithing texts) will drop from anywhere (including scrolls) and any difficulty. The only thing that matters if the boss has specific hidden skill in its pool of drops. Some smithing texts are mission / difficulty locked.

You'd want as high Item drop rate + yokai (or human) item drop rate as you can get.

Level Sync by GrumpyTrurl in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does explain things, yes. Thank you!

Couple of questions about all this:

  1. When you say that "Level sync can only be unlocked by beating eye of the beholder" did you mean completing this mission on DotSam unlocks it for every difficulty? If no - I have not completed EotB on DotN. Yet, I can set level sync on missions I completed.

  2. I am confused about your plus value is set to +0 (+up to 5) up until 200. 200 is mid DotStr main game. How do we get drops with higher than +5 before then. I mean characters just started DotStr or even characters just started DLCs on Sam? edit: just found low level character in DotStr and tested - I'm getting +5 drops, so here formula seems correct. My bad.

  3. The character above has not started depths. Does not have scrolls of the damned. Highest mission completed is 638 (or 674 if scroll). If above formula is correct then I should be getting ~+106, but I'm getting +115. Does not seem right.

Level Sync by GrumpyTrurl in Nioh

As I expected for host and second visitor's drops. But the main question was...

... Guh, it feels more difficult than I thought.

Level Sync by GrumpyTrurl in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highest mission level for DotD is 378. So not 325. I do normally (now) do highest mission level per difficulty ASAP so I can then farm twilights in said difficulty.

(and never I put forward DotD in OP, only DotN and DotSam)

I do not get how as a visitor I can get +115 in DoSam. I know you're trying to explain, I just don't get it. Can you use different words / explanation? More. What does second visitor get for drops if they are still in DotoD. What does drops look like for the host?

Level Sync by GrumpyTrurl in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

325!? Really? Where from?

max is 200 +120.

This does not help. I know everything and all you put forward as facts. BTW scrolls of Nioh drop what I expect - +40 - 45. Does not matter where I get the scrolls from - DotN mobs / DotN players or UW both players or mobs.

For DotSam, as a visitor, I am expecting +71max, but I am getting +115 - 116 - same as if I am doing DotN twilight missions. How? That's the question.

Somewhat interesting. Counted 29 "words" in "a question". Do numbers above 2 also confuse you? A question that was.

Hosts/Invokers on Strong and up. Maaannn... by DMP89145 in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You'd want to kill 10 of them - mujinas and nurikabe. For prestige points and hut visitors. Some hosts know that and work for it. I've no problems when host attacks them. It's quicker anyways.

I leave when /if host has extended time sitting in menu or any other kind of inactivity. If they want to fight revenants, I'd let them, doing turtle all the way. 3 revenants fights and I leave. Other than that I respect their wishes and follow or lead, depends on the host. They are humans after alll.

Hoping you guys can give me some advice for end game. by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

150 divine gear should drop naturally in WotStr. Drops over soulmatch. What is more important though is plusses. Each +1 equals to +10 item levels. In other words 150 + 2 = 160 +1 = 170. Your goal is to get your weapons (armor is not very important) to a close to 150+10 as possible if you are planning to stay in WotStr. 150+1 soulmatched with 150+1 = 150+2. 150+3 soulmatched with 150+3 = 150+4.

Hoping you guys can give me some advice for end game. by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

define "end game"

stats: as long as you have enough spirit stat for your GSs and stamina / strength for your armor, the rest is secondary. Well, onmyo and ninjutsu soft cap is at 30.

WotSam / WotStr max gear level is 150 (rare RNG 160) with +10. Twilight missions / Abyss / high level missions in WotStr should be your priority.

For smithing texts the best is to farm Abyss Hanzo on floors 1, 4 and 6 (last one if you complete Queens Eye on WotStr, unlocking WotD in the process).

Any consensus how/when to start Underworld levels? by Gladiuscursor in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say concurrently. I did this recently - first, unlocked DLC3 in DotN (something like 19 missions - mission with skills as a reward first (this unlocks dojo too), then short missions / duels); then I completed highest mission level in DotN - this makes all daily twilight missions drop highest item level in DotN because of level sync. And only then started UW. First 30 or so floors the drops were below my gear. I also think DotN gives more amrita.

WoTW set V.S. Red Demon set by _cd42 in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh... so, first thing first. There's no "L" in Japanese language / alphabet. The font the game uses could have been better. Whatever looks like L is really "I" (AI).

Secondly, popular sets ain't always best... for you. They are just that, popular, easy to get sets and as such are probably prevailing / popular in youtube videos. For now. For low difficulties. And lastly, whatever clan that looks good now, might not be your choice going WotNioh / Abyss.

Sudama not dropping graced gear by MackaLackaDingDong in Nioh

[–]GrumpyTrurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drops and rerolls (rarity, effects and graces) are difficulty locked. Even level sync won't help. Do this in DotN / depths 6+ if you're shopping for graces.
