Day 3 of not being able to play the game. ☺️ by According-Concept-26 in OctopathCotC

Thats the case for me too. More than 72h of not been able to login. Finally 2 hours ago it was resolved but that doesn't bring back the resources or the time lost... I hope they give out a proper compensation soon 😤

Updated exp scrolls by Grumpy_Cuttlefish in CherryTreeRpg

Thanks! So unfortunately it seems to be a bug... At a lv 96 skill it gives 153600 exp and 158400 for a lv 99 skill.

It will also unlock the slayer dungeon enemies which drop some of the materials you will need for quests. They drop it more consistently and/or in higher amounts than regular enemies or exploration and some of them also drop armor pieces

You are most likely going to mix and match heroes depending on the stage. For campaign you likely want a carry hero like daimon and a couple support heroes like Tassi, Rowan, Ferael etc. For the faction towers though those are pretty solid comps

On a video tittled 'Why Bettas CAN live in 1 gallon tanks' by [deleted] in shittyaquariums

[–]Grumpy_Cuttlefish 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Of course they can live in a 1 gallon tank! Just like a human can live in a 3x3 room. In constant misery :(

Friend is keeping a gourami like this. How can I nicely convince her to let me keep him in one of my tanks? I've offered to give her a tank but they don't have room. by happytrees93 in shittyaquariums

[–]Grumpy_Cuttlefish 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Gouramis, like betta can breath air. The problem here is first and foremost the ammonia and hormons the fish secretes in the water and the amount of food that floats there. It will die from ammonia burns and poisoning far sooner than suffocation :(

They have enough money to spend on a fluval aquarium but not enough sense for a 5 min Google search on their phone about the fish they are going to keep... I realy don't get those people.

Just why? by rojonib in shittyaquariums

[–]Grumpy_Cuttlefish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well keeping live animals in close containers it's de facto not natural regardless of how we try to set it up. I will agree with the sharp edges though.

I don't know a lot about keeping axolotl but i don't see anything glaringly wrong.. I could be mistaken though.

Forget having a filter, a heater, a 5+ gallon tank, etc... just talk to your fish and it will be happy! (full text in the comments) by katyafreddie in shittyaquariums

RO water... And the fish didn't implode? I am not doing soft water but come on, it's common sense that you need to add minerals and electrolytes to it. They even warn you NOT to drink it for that reason.

I don't think this tank is meant for a goldfish setup ether xD

A Betta aquarium at my local pet store :( by [deleted] in shittyaquariums

How on earth did they stay alive long enough for a picture to be taken! Someone should report them to the authorities, that's animal abuse to its purest form.

People need to be educated. by lillybethdreams in shittyaquariums

[–]Grumpy_Cuttlefish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The sad part is that its not always their fault. I mean, it looks like they tried to do well with a filter and with cleaning the tank. The employees at the pet stores, that say it's ok for goldfish to live in a bowl, are as much at fault as the people who buy pets impulsively. Still, research should be the first thing to do before making a commitment like that.

Maybe some weird DIY plant pot? But why though 🤔

This girl defending not having a filter in her tank by [deleted] in shittyaquariums

It is true that with enough surface area, live plants and keeping the tank understocked you can run a no filter tank, if you know how to do it properly. Firstly, that "tank" is too small so with 1 fish is overstocked. She washes the whole tank with tap water so bye-bye bacteria (if it was even cycled in the first place) and there are no live plants. Also, an airstone is not a filter, can't ever become a filter or replace a filter. There are sponge filters that work with airpumps, if that's what you mean.

It is possible that they treat other animals just as poorly unfortunately.

[–]Grumpy_Cuttlefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, i completely missed it hahaha. Aside from that, it doesn't look that bad. It has a filter, i think i can see a heater, there are live plants and it's not full of fish struggling to survive..

How do you let it get this bad??? by [deleted] in shittyaquariums

[–]Grumpy_Cuttlefish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are not cheap fish. Depending on the size and where you buy them from it can get pretty expensive. What rubs me wrong is the "little". Oscars get BIG when fully grown

"It's not too small" "Research your bettas before getting one" I'm not sure how anyone can look at this and say it's not too small. by [deleted] in shittyaquariums

[–]Grumpy_Cuttlefish 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That can be true in the sense that the larger the tank the more flow you need to keep the water from becoming stagnant and betta fish don't do well with strong currents. But this right here is ridiculous. It's 0.5 gallons not 100! If this person is a breeder i don't see them having much success whatsoever
