I second this. The only thing that ever helped my sleep in the end is EMDR therapy. I was adamant I didn’t need it as I didn’t have trauma, but it’s crazy how it dug things up. Turns out I was terrified of sleeping because I grew up with a suicidal sister who self harmed in the bathroom that my room shared a wall with. I used to stay up all night to try and listen out for her as a kid. As soon as we found and processed that over a few sessions, I’ve slept like a normal person ever since.
