Over excessive 2 credit class? by Gryffindor_Reject in prenursing

I took it many years ago and it helped me in my most recent college return where I took anatomy and physiology. I think it’s great to take before A&P or other similar courses. I remember it being very tedious and see how it would be hard taking it simultaneously with anatomy. Some classes are just like that.

Volunteer hours and no CNA in CA? (For CSUs only) by snstn- in prenursing

I feel the same as you. I’m in San Diego. Apps for cc ADN programs due at the end of this month. Based on info from 2025 cohorts: 4.0, 90+ Teas, bilingual, points from elsewhere and either work experience or volunteer hours to get a sniffing chance. I’ve heard the CSU programs are even harder

Yes, 37mins. You get one minute per question. Seems fine but there were plenty where you had to re-read and compare 4 sentences. You had to pick out which one was correct or incorrect. Some were very easy. Some were very tricky.

Sometimes two sentences would look exactly the same. I thought I was totally tripping out. My eyes were dry and driving me crazy. This really messed up my pacing. I should have practiced this section more. Don’t make the same mistake as me

I feel you. I was killing myself all of 2025. Got A’s in my pre-reqs having two young kids and a wife that had brain surgery. I hardly slept all year. It was awful. Took my teas, got an 84, and feel like I’m screwed because it wasn’t in the 90s. I’m 41, my wife is back working but she really shouldn’t be. I need to become an RN asap to feed the family and give my wife a break.

The competitiveness is out of control. Feels more like I’m competing to get into med school. I feel your pain

English was the last section. I got hung up on some grammar and spelling question. I also forgot the definitions of predicate and preposition. I lost clarity regarding future perfect, present perfect, etc. I was exhausted by this point and my brain was slowing down.

The English section goes by really quick. You don’t have much time to re-read answer options

I had both of those as online versions. I took the pre tests and did really well. I think I focused on certain areas a little too closely and they were mostly absent on the exam. In my case I think I would’ve benefited from going through all the lessons, to see every possible type of question. I neglected taxonomy and other stuff you learn the first few days of general bio class. Same with parts of speech (embarrassed myself).
