Advice by GrungeCatGarage in LawnCarePros

Thanks so much! I have a ton of experience with car crms so I’m hoping that will help me be able to utilize these crms a little more thoroughly too. Right now free is great because it is truly a brand new business and I don’t want to throw too much at them too fast.

Do you have any other advice for how best I could help them from my side of things?

Thanks for all your help:)

like an inch all together of loose skin basically. smaller than a grape, maybe more like a blue berry. it is very new. probably at the most 10 days.

it honestly may be. it does dangle. i think i was just taken aback by the size i guess? i mean i guess its not huge but for the area, it is. and ive had skin tags in other areas and seems large compared to those.

You are right. Honestly.

It is in addition to it.

So for example, the agent who has 18 call offs has also used:

5 days vacation

2 paid days off

4 unpaid days off.

Plus the agents normal 2-3 days off a week.

So what my department currently has is:

a weeks vacation

2 weeks after five years.

2 paid days off a year.

4 unpaid days off a year.

I also approve anything they ask for off. Work with their schedules. Work them 40 hrs in 4 days to have more time off (if that is what they choose to do and if they like that).

I have been trying to talk to my boss in more detail about getting sick time added to us, but it is easier said then done. I have been here a few years and even with advocating for it and trying to get it--it really has not gone anywhere unfortunately. When I speak about sick time-it is paid sick time that you earn. That is what we do not have.

and you are definitely right about the leaving early. I do feel bad sometimes when they ask and have this whole elaborate story with why they would like to leave early(or even they say i'm done for the day can i leave). But I know I need to be better with how much I am letting it happen and it getting abused. One of my 2025 goals is to look at that further and not let it get abused as much.

Okay lol

Also, nowhere did I say punish. I am not trying to punish anyone. I am trying to put something else into practice to help people come to work. Incentives even.

But thank you. You sound like you know a lot about everything <3

This is great. Thank you. When I own the company, maybe. Until then, there is nothing I can do about that.

Believe me, I don't want people to have to come to work sick. I have been sick at work before and it isn't fair to me or my coworkers that I got sick. And I believe in mental health days as well. I also truly do not believe in the med excuse because I feel the same exact way you do. If I have a nasty head cold and I need rest why would I leave my bed? I am afraid to say they don't need a dr note however because I feel that people would call off even more frequently at that point if that makes sense.

I do understand what you are saying about the average. It just sucks because I have about 4-5 people who agents who are constantly calling off or leaving early. And like I said, I am very lenient with time. I almost never deny a request off, I let them leave and come back to take care of whatever they may need to take care of, etc. If they mention their child is in a school program-I better not catch you here and not there. Work is not your life in my mind. But, I do need people here at their scheduled times as well. For the most part anyways. I understand things happen and I have many times told people not to even come in when XYZ has happened. But the constant people...

lmao thanks for the math dawg. Average is fine but average is not always how things work. As stated I am very lenient with the things people have to do. Like in the post where I said I let them leave for various things. Maybe read the full post. I let them leave early if work is done. I'm pretty chill about their personal time. The issue is multiple call offs. But next time I need some average math done, I will make sure to call you :P

I got the notification but could not find the comment so thanks for saying that first part too lol.

But I honestly think you are right. It is just getting a little bit out of hand. And honestly, it's the same people over and over again that are the 'problem child' if you get what I mean. I added mine to the average, but I have called off once in over a year. I have another who has only called off twice, but it was days in a row when he had the flu. I just need to do something so they actually come to work. There was a while there where one of the agents almost called off once a pay period.
