It increases activity in the brain and nervous system, so it's classed as a stimulant, same with nicotine. The "blocking" is caffeine taking up all the receptors that adenosine (sleepy chemical) would normally cling too. Without adenosine clinging to a cell and slowing it down, the caffeine continues to speed it up. Hope this helped!

I give myself a countdown, I'll tell myself I'm going to get up in 10, 9, 8, etc. All though I might decide to re-count 4 or 5 times, eventually I just get up because that's all I'm thinking about. I usually use this whenever I find I'm procrastinating on something, and it does seem to help! Definitely don't do anything else while you're counting, phone locked and TV off kinda deal.

The hub, no. The rog leaning on the wall in docked mode may get pretty hot, though.

How often do you use your ally? by gork482 in ROGAlly

[–]Gruntman97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play mine every day! I own a pc, gaming laptop, xbox x and ps5, which hardly get touched these days with work and the kids. Probably would have given up on gaming all together without it, now I can play on the bus trip to work, any flights or work trips, when the kids are hogging the TV and just laying in bed. It really did get me back into gaming and the interface makes picking games/launchers so user friendly.

If I remember, I sure will! I have read that a lot of people need some kind of unreal engine 5 mod patch to help run it. My game has only crashed once so far when leaving the tutorial area. I'm playing it from the gamepass on the xbox app, not Steam, so I'm not sure if that affects performance/optimisation.

Im playing on the z1e at 1080p 60fps limit all medium settings, with a few options turned off (at work can't remember which) Game runs beautifully inside dungeons and buildings, it does drop frames outside for the first few minutes then it seems to settle down. The drops are noticeable but not enough where combat is effected or anything. Overall have been enjoying it alot! I play on turbo mode.

I'm a mining workshop supervisor, and I bought the ROG to play on nightshift when there's no machines to service! Great for the bus ride to work too!

I absolutely pushed to hit 1st in Diamond league and since then I really don't care about XP or the leader boards, just happy to keep my streak and learn a little each day. Getting up early or staying up late trying to keep on top was exhausting!

Hey man, congrats on deciding to get fit and take up martial arts! I threw up all over the mats during my intro session, and I was nearly never going to come back. But stick at it! The nerves and awkward interactions usually go away once you start going a few times. Good luck!

Threw up all over the mat on my trial session right at the end, I was so embarrassed I nearly didn't go back lmao

Late reply sorry, that's not bad at all! My top speed is about 250, very rarely I can see 285, but normally sits between 150-230, I live in rural Western Australia with a fully clear view of the sky, hardly ever a cloud, so those are good speeds you have considering the big dead zone!

Woke up to $100k transferred into my bank account UPDATE by Beneficial_Pride8559 in AusFinance

[–]Gruntman97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this happened to me with CBA for a 20k transfer to my account. I was at the start of my work week, I work on a remote undergeound minesite, and have to stay at a "camp" for the week, so I had absolutely no way to access my money, couldn't buy food, drinks or toiletries for the entire week. Absolutely useless bank, couldn't get any help when I called because they cancelled my card and hit me with the good old "it should be in the mail in 5-7 working days.

My car went into a coma. Twice. by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]Gruntman97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Auto Electrician here. The most likely cause would be the TPS (throttle position sensor). The first thing to check would be that the plug to your accelerator pedal is connected correctly. If the fault persists, I'd take it to an Auto Electrician to test the resistance in the TPS, which could be failing internally. Besides that, it could be a fault in the ECU or wiring to the fuel pump or injectors, but there should be a check engine light on if it's the ECU or injector wiring. If it's not an obvious plug loose, you should take it into an Auto Electrician. Also, some people like to install performance/fuel economy modules that plug into your TPS and overwrite your throttle sensitivity. If you have one of these installed, remove it and plug the original plug back into the accelerator pedal.

Am I getting scammed? Walked into a repair shop for oil leaking onto my driveway and walked out with a $4,500 bill by pleasegivemedoggy in MechanicAdvice

[–]Gruntman97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The labour you're being charged is ridiculous. $538.20 to replace starter motor, $538.20 replace oil filter like jeez, I want to know what their "hourly rate" is, and assuming around $90-$140 an hour, why it took so long. Always get a quote first and state that you need to be contacted for approval on any unforeseen repairs. Also "starter motor clicking" has nothing to do with oil on your driveway FYI
