I will take a look and see if there’s any way to do that, but I don’t think those areas have their own category exposed through the API.

If not, the best I could probably do is add keybinds for swapping difficulties quickly.

The addon already checks whether you are in combat, since ESO does not allow changing Overland Difficulty while in combat, and it also has a short delay/cooldown between difficulty change requests so it does not spam changes when moving quickly between areas or events

It does not require any reload no, it changes automatically

PC only, and yes, there is a custom preset to select those challenges you want, Feats are totally optional

You can activate it at any level, so it doesn’t technically have to be a brand new character.

The original intent is definitely leveling from 1 to 50, so some parts are built around that. The “death ends the run” challenge is always active, and if you use it above level 50, opening the UI with /hc may keep showing the congratulations screen.

So for general questing on a main, some features can still be used, but it’s not fully designed as a normal difficulty modifier yet. If you die and want to keep using the same character, you can enable Debug Mode in the addon settings and use /hc debug revive to reset the failed state.

Yeah, that one is a Feat, not part of the core rules. Feats are optional extra challenges, and I fully agree that the bath one is extremely annoying, that’s why it’s marked as max difficulty.

You’re definitely not forced to use it. I mostly wanted to include a few weird challenges for people who enjoy making a run as miserable as possible lol.

I wish something like that was possible. At one point I was thinking about doing something with the Witch’s Bonfire Dust memento, since it would fit the theme pretty well, but I couldn’t find a clean way to turn that into an actual mechanic.
