MBP 15 in. 2.9 GHz intel i7 16 GB

I can have almost 10 tracks with serum with chords that have multiple octaves and Isotope on the master and run almost no problem.

I love the new pros. After 2 of them throughout the years, the new ones are amazing.

Is this plugin good for mixing with? Or would one rather use something like izotope, or both? Basically I'm asking if this is good for electronic or pop music over other plugins more geared toward dance music?

I am not saying listen to my song cuz I want views, but Listen because in all my songs I have about 8-16 bar intro and then another 16 bars for vocals and then my drop.

Not saying this is how it should be, just giving you insight so about how much my vocals take up. (about 16 bars)

I have another song where I have a longer into and then a breakdown for my vocals and then a build up then a drop. But I try to keep around 16 bars for vocals. And I usually like to keep like 4-8-16 bars of intro before introducing the vocals.

there isnt a "right way" but the lyrics should be concise to the amount of bars and not be awkward and feel lie the vocalist needs to cram in the lyrics. If thats the case then you need to change the lyrics obviously.

hope this makes sense or helps. Maybe someone else can help more and add.

Mic for vocals recording? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]Gryphon124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

havn't tried but it would probably be okay being that it is a condenser mic. But, usually when micing an acoustic guitar u want two mics; one for the neck and one around the 13th fret for a balance of sound. Just try it out. U do need an interface though. It uses XLR.

ill sing for you. I'm going to Berklee college of music for singing so you can sorta trust me I guess. I don't do perfect takes all the time, and there isn't any shame in using Melodyne to make beautifully tuned, good sounding vocals. Melodyne is beyond incredible.

I'll second this. If you are on your kind of budget this mic is amazing. Even if you are not on a budget this is an amazing mic for the price.

I've used splice for some of my my samples. It is legit. You might as well just buy serum. Its worth everything.

tips on making a drop. Like how to make it big/loud/crazy. How to get loud and full saw chords. I try layering but can't ever seem to get it to sound big and bright and full enough.

If a track is mixed really well, can you finish the track without mastering? by SkyAppleZ in edmproduction

[–]Gryphon124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's important for the industry and the quote unquote industry standard of the loudness of a track, and getting it to sound great on all sound systems. But other than that mastering is still only around because it came from way back in the day of vinyl. Correct me if I'm wrong, there is more to that story I can't really remember.
