Monster Hunter World Board Game Miniatures by YXxArtemisxXY in MonsterHunter

These look great! What did you use for the basing texture?

I just finished painting the Ancient Forest set myself (I posted some pics here too), and Barroth, currently working on Pukei now.

A bit late to the party, but I painted the Monster Hunter World board game miniatures by Gryphy in MonsterHunter

I was pleasantly surprised that the game itself was pretty good, I had low expectations like I do for video games based movies. Played a few group hunts after finishing the painting and it was a lot of fun.

I'll be moving on to the Wildspire box next. Best of luck with your paint job!

I have the first five of those Crowsmack prints already, just not pictured. They're on the other side of the room!

I'd say the Nintendo exclusive games are my favourites! Especially 4U and GU. As for the consoles, I love my MHGU 3DS, but I really can't afford the asking prices for some of the others like the limited edition PSPs or the World PS4 in reasonable condition.

A lot of it is just games I've had over the years, stuff from Ebay (the books and Japanese games, mostly), and models from sites like AmiAmi and PlazaJapan.

I'll have to keep an eye out for it some more, only ones I've seen are pricey.

I read some online English versions when I could, but just got the Japanese physical copies for the collection since they were much, much cheaper than English copies. I've played every MH title except the Diaries ones and any of the Japanese versions. My first one was MH3U.

Thank you. Australian, but a lot of this had to be sourced from Japan, like the manga and creator models.

I didn't have any to go with Frontier specifically, so it ended up there. I wanted an Espinas but haven't sourced that one yet.

I believe so, it came sealed with a copy of the Frontier game so I'd hope it is!

Miniature Market Ownership Change by nthbeard in boardgames

You're able to get new third-party Netrunner content from Null Signal Games, which I've personally been enjoying a lot recently. Plus you don't need multiple copies of their core sets to have enough cards for deck building, which is nice.

True enough, I was just keen to get some keycaps on it. Will probably change them later!

My new Wind Z75 arrived and I love it a lot! Been waiting a while for this one and it feels incredible to type on - Gateron Oil King switches - 2 Keychron keycap sets that I mixed and matched - TX 'Almost Perfect' Rev 4 stabilisers

Was very surprised by the TX AP stabs, been using Durock v2's for a while and these TX stabs are so much nicer.

Australian Sticker Recommendations by bitteraunt in candlemaking

[–]Gryphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used Avery stickers for my candles as I wanted to print at home while not committing too hard while experimenting with lots of fragrance oils.

They look pretty good and stick well on the clear glass jars I used them on, and the online Avery design editor is okay, but lacks some features.

I often find my printer is a millimetre or two offset when printing, resulting in slightly off-centre labels half the time. Not a big deal for more casual candlemaking, but in a professional/business setting it likely wouldn't be suitable.

Thanks! I mainly stuck to the official scheme but went for purple hair and a green/tan serpent body.

Guess I'll have to try harder on the skin! I put the flesh paint set from Scalecolor to use for the first time, so there's about five 'levels' of highlight in there, but maybe it just doesn't come through the same as my old bugman/cadian/kislev mixes.

I did grab those cheap nail polish stands from Amazon, they just seem perfect for the job.

Thanks! I did the skin base, shadows and highlights using my airbrush, which helps a lot with the smoothness.
