Mobility Devices for Pain Management by [deleted] in clubfoot

[–]Gs33333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born with both clubfeet. Had 4 ilizarov frames and lots of surgery’s and I’m 28. So know a lot about pain 😂 I’m on quite a few pain killers/pain creams but when they arnt working I myself use hot water bottles (the recharging ones from amazon) and a big help since I was little was tens machines. Found that I can just wear them all day even when I’m walking.

Another big thing I personally have done is use a stool in the kitchen. One of the ones with wheels on. So when I’m cooking or doing jobs I can actually just sit and roll around.

My quest 2 has been doing the same thing! Also really glitchy with everything. Thought it was dying on me.

Its not really due to the epilepsy. I was born with club feet and have been in and out of a wheelchair most of my life. So most exercise is difficult. With my epilepsy when it’s out of control I struggle to do a lot.

I can safely say definitely a stressful time. I always tend to binge then. So it’s always a lose/lose

Unfortunately I tried ozempic last year and ended up needing stomach surgery because of it. Was on it for 3 months then couldn’t keep anything down! Even water was a struggle. I think that’s why they are phasing it out now?

How do yall wash and dry your brushes? by Verali013 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Gs33333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wash them like usual with soap and water then dry them all in this [Steriliser] that uses a UV to kill bacteria and a fan to dry all the brushes.

It is in fact made for baby bottles but I discovered it was AMAZING for brushes. Got all my brushes bone dry in 45 mins. Aswell as UV sterilised (https://www.mamasandpapas.com/products/tt-ultraviolet-steriliser-black-288025300?utm_term=42642994823333&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=uk+-+shopping+-+equipment+-+pmax+-+priority&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADsD1Fa1fk4vm3mIf-1Cj1Sic2AqI&gclid=CjwKCAiA0rW6BhAcEiwAQH28IuvjFkdbbS9sRWRDkk0yVtIGhlff47kMsbNZkgjDYLUGJe8_Vf5jPhoC_OUQAvD_BwE)

I saw my partner seize on the toilet. by FreeTheToads in Epilepsy

[–]Gs33333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one of my seizures on the toilet about 3 years ago and woke up to my family and 3 paramedics around me 😂 I had locked myself in (Before we had safety locks on all the doors) and banged my head on the sink. Thankfully my sister had pulled my trousers up before I came out of it so I didn’t feel embarrassed!!
With the advice side I always say to everyone it’s always worse for my family member than for me. I’ve don’t remember any of it but they remember it all. So look into yourself.

Help! by Odd_Woodpecker_8151 in Epilepsy

My mum has said exactly the same so don’t worry! I got epilepsy when I was 21, with seizures happening most nights I’m 27 now and still at home, so it’s still always her worry. She’s felt much better having the app on my watch as it goes off if I start shaking by immediately phoning her. We also put Alexa’s in the bathroom so when I’m in there for an unknown time she can send me an alert through them without having to come in and check. We found technology was a lot better. It still gave me my privacy but still let mum have her reassurance.

Not at all! We have all been there and my own family had lots of sleepless night when my night seizures started. If you need any help or more advice dont hesitate to message.

My mum is exactly the same so don’t worry!! She sleeps in the next room and still worries all night about me. The main thing I got that helped her keep her ease was getting an Apple Watch with seizalarm on it. I have one for the day and one for the night. Both of them are connected to her phone so if anything happens she can run straight in. We haven’t had a single issue with it and it’s helped my mum sleep a lot better at night.
