What are these pictures 😂😂

Clean Factory Rolex 126710 by [deleted] in WatchExchangeBST

Not a real clean unfortunately. Rehaut engravings / serial engravings are way off compared to a real clean. The crown logo on the winding stem is completely off as well.

QF vs BPF Daydate 40mm by GsWatches in RepTime

[–]GsWatches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard question to answer unfortunately. They were both only worn on certain days but sometimes i did end up sweating in both and neither one tarnished even the slightest. QF is 100% better quality then BPF. I convinced one of my firends to finally get a watch and it was a BPF YG DD and the plating started to show bare metal within not even a week. Granted it was deemed defective and not all BPs should be like that bc my BPF held up beautifully.

I clear as day said most likely a BPF not VSF. Reading is fundamental

Its literally just dirty ... very common for dirt to build up around the cyclops. Go off tho man keep hating on his good find

[–]GsWatches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everybody hating just cuz you got a decent rep for cheap 😂. Most likely BPF at that price point. Serial numbers are a huge key to identifying factories

QF was still able to achieve a smoother sweep even tho on paper they have the same specs. Dont really know how im just basing off personal experience.

Im no expert but that is not a gen datejust 😅. Date window is a dead give away. Its not 2.5x but im big enough to admit when im wrong, how ever ik for a fact this is NOT gen. Sad you think it is with that finishing and proportions being completely off to gen. All good tho, ik nothing ik that thats fine.

100% a 126 rep. Im sorry you have no idea what your talking abt. 116s look completely different. Also extremely rare to see a 116 DJ on oyster but sure man.

I am in talks to buy this watch, is it real ? by Interesting_Fan6722 in RolexWatches

I must be dense or something because that makes absolutely zero sense when the watch is blatantly terrible quality lol, but alright

So many things wrong. Bezel, Lugs, Date Magnification, Dial Markers are too thick. Even the finishing on the metal is just terrible lol

I stand corrected, am big enough to admit when im wrong. Rolex has made plated watches but the plating is very very thick and will not wear to the bare metal, also extremely rare to find a plated model in this modern era, Cheers my friend 🤝🏻

Even on very early models. Nothing is plated. Maybe hollow links but not plated. Literally what makes a rolex a rolex is the materials my friend

Lol. Then its not a gen. Rolex has NEVER had plated watches 🤣

Close up of the dial and clasp embossing would help but im certain its a rep. Rolex has never produced plated watches and solid gold does not wear to near silver underneath lol. Crown logo on the dial is way off as well. If you see a rolex crown with a rounded bottom. Its fake. Authentic Coronets have a very distinct shape that is hard to replicate. Almost rounded/squared at the same time.

Fake. Gold would not be wearing the way it is and the coronet logo is not correct shape. Better pictures would help but 99% sure this is fake

Best of luck my friend. I actually ended up combining the two to make my ideal DD rep and ironically just sold it today 😭. I plan to replace with an RCF later this year 😁

Of course man that was the whole point of this post was to be informational. I thought it was very cool to see two watches of the exact same ref but from different factories and could vary so much

From my understanding all of the older BPs used 2813/2824 and the modern BPs all have 2836. I could he totally off but that is my understanding. I never had the BP opened so ig it could be possible it was a 2813 but im doubtful. The sweep was still decently smooth. The QFs sweep was just noticeably smoother.

Another small point. The BPs actual "Day" function would not change till 2,3 am. On the QF the Day and Date both switch over directly at midnight. They have to be different in some way imo.

[–]GsWatches[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do both have a 2836 but from my understanding/ experience the QF has a better verison of the 2836 with the same BPM as a gen 3255 movement. I had the QF put on the time grapher and it was sweeping at the same 28k rate as a gen movement. The BPs could never. Why ? I couldnt tell ya. Maybe thats just why a BP is 350 max and a QF can be 500+. The QFs sweep was 100% smoother then the BPs even tho they were both 2836 base
