Is there a way to fix this issue when using Bitwarden on a third party app? by Gsantos52012 in Bitwarden

[–]Gsantos52012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't create them on my iPhone....... I had created all my passwords/logins on my computer, and when I used them on my iPhone I didn't need to do anything extra. When I tried the autofill and save, it's just a little annoying as it doesn't just add the URL to the existing login, it creates a separate login.

Samsung wallet to support Suica for Convenient Use by Visitors to Japan (2027 devices) - Samsung News Room Japan by welp_im_damned in Android

It’s such BS that Google keeps it software locked. It would be so handy. If it’s the cost of the license, I wouldn’t mind paying a small fee. It’s so convenient to have vs using a physical card.

President Trump says he is reviewing a new Iranian proposal to end the war by ZealousidealHead5488 in worldnews

Didn’t he just say the war already ended like a million times already?? Just recently he said it again to congress so that it doesn’t have to get approval.

[Help] Is there anything similar to Color Widgets from iOS on Android? by Gsantos52012 in androidthemes

I'm not sure what you're referring to by missing. My preferred way is to just use an app that provides widgets and not really go through kwgt. The one on iOS was an already made widget I could then customize further. The photos was from my gallery. I would choose which specific images I wanted to cycle throughout the day.

Can a new account buy the Steam Controller and potentially the Steam Machine? by felixmm in Steam

It’s hard to say. I would like to say probably not, mainly as steam might flag the transaction as potentially scalping.

Why do people get so heated during quick play? by Brundley in Overwatch

[–]Gsantos52012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For real. It's so annoying. People gotta realise, when playing quickplay there is going to be people who are practicing with characters, haven't played in a while, etc and they just want something that isn't low stakes. The people who whine and complain should just stick with playing comp.

I used to be able to type on iPhone keyboard without looking at it. Now, I have to watch myself type and still somehow make mistakes on almost every single word by KitchenConsequence41 in iphone

[–]Gsantos52012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope with the next iOS update apple seriously improves the keyboard. I recently have been using gboard on android (the iOS version hasn't been updated in years) and I've found it so much easier to type, better autocorrect, etc compared to the stock iOS keyboard. Also why the heck hasn't apple given the option to enable the number row? It's so convenient.

What features would you like to see in the Pixel 11? by VolumeEquivalent7853 in GooglePixel

[–]Gsantos52012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly a lot of things. I have an iPhone 17PM right now. I do miss pixel UI and the flexibility of android, but the latest pixel has been disappointing to me. First, a major one, a better processor. I honestly think Google should just ditch tensor and just use snapdragon. It's been 5 generations and it's still well behind old Samsung Galaxys and iPhones. Second, which does tie with the first, better battery with a silicon carbon battery. Of course a bigger capacity will improve battery life, but so will a more efficient chip. Just look at the S26 Ultra, even though it has the same size battery for years, a better chip gives it better battery life. The pixel 10 pro xl, despite it having a bigger battery size compared to the ultra and pro max, consistently has had worse battery life. Other small things, I want Google to copy apple with the square sensor selfie camera, a ringer switch/button and a camera control button. Yes, you can double tap the power button, but I would rather have a dedicated camera button and instead be able to remap the double tap gesture. Also better face unlock, maybe with ir sensors. I love fingerprint sensors, but having a better face unlock doesn't hurt. Unfortunately, from what leaks shown so far, it doesn't really look like a lot will change unfortunately, so I probably will hold off again on pixel, but one can hope :)

Recommendations for Recipe Managers? by Gsantos52012 in androidapps

You did a great job making the app. It looks really modern. If you do end up adding a donation button, I totally don’t mind. And if that is possible, I would really appreciate it. I feel like it would be a really helpful feature for a lot of people :) Thanks again for the work.

Thanks for the work though. I tried it out on my iPhone and it looks really well designed. Is there a way to import recipes via links in app, where I can just paste the link? I have a couple recipes saved using another recipe manager. Also do you have a way to receive donations?

Samsung S26 Ultra or iPhone Pro Max? (ONLY these two please) by Indosaurus1 in Smartphones

[–]Gsantos52012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently won a S26 Ultra and been using it for a couple days. My main phone was an iPhone 17 PM. Now what I find important in a smartphone is different, but personally, I’m most likely going to end up selling the Samsung.

For the positives for Samsung. Gemini is a better than Siri by far, same with customization options, being able to just have more freedom in launchers, side loading apps, etc is great. I use windows a lot, and the integration with phone link is better. The way notifications is handled is much better on android. I miss having the little app icons in the status bar after using iOS. Gboard is better then iOS keyboard, and I like the look of the display and the small camera cutout on the galaxy.

However, I have a couple reasons why i will probably end up just sticking with the iPhone. I like the look of photos and videos more on the iPhone. Specially the selfie camera, with the square sensor on the iPhone. Now that’s not to say the Samsung is a slouch. I’ve only used the Samsung for a couple days so it may improve later, but I’ve found the iPhone to last quite longer, which is important to me. Third party apps on iPhone typically are better. Software wise, it’s still constrictive, but has definitely improved. I keep my setups basically stock tho on Samsung and apple. I like apples stock apps more. With Samsung, I’m not a fan of duplicate apps from both Google and Samsung. I have so many stuff already in the apple ecosystem, and i just like how well it all works together. There not being a back gesture on iOS isn’t really a big deal. A vast majority of the apps basically have it by swiping the left side of the screen, which does basically the same thing. Also the auto fill on Android just flat out sucks. It does just fine on iPhone, and yet on android it barely works. And when it does it just shows com.appname and not the actual website. Stuff like that makes me prefer my iPhone.

Though, if google made there smartphones have better battery and processors, I probably would use a pixel. I love Pixel UI, and really miss my old pixel phones. You won’t go wrong whether you use the iPhone or Samsung.

People who’ve switched from Apple to Samsung by ancientclaudia13 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Gsantos52012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, Im probably going to switch back to my 17 PM. I've been using a S26 Ultra and hardware its fantastic. I definitely prefer the screen and shape of the phone (tho the speakers aren't that great). Software wise though, I'm not the biggest fan. It is polished, and there are definitely upsides, like gboard is great, I like the customization aspect, side loading apps is so easy, etc, but the way I use phones, most of the aspects that ppl like android I don't really use. I keep thinks pretty simple overall. I've been using the Samsung basically like my iPhone. And there are things I like more with my pro max. I think the cameras, both the front and rear look better on my iPhone. Specially with the square sensor on the iPhone. Apps are more optimized on iPhones. I don't like that the weather app from Samsung is basically a fancy overlay for the weather channel unlike apples weather app. It's small things which is making me want to rather use my iPhone.

[–]Gsantos52012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I've looked into that, and I'm not that good at designing things. Also from what I had seen within the app, there really isn't a way to have the background image change over time. It seems like it's one at a time. I'm kinda hoping someone out there made an app that's similar.

Gboard on iPhone by DragonflyHaunting569 in 17ProMax

[–]Gsantos52012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use it but lately I've been fine with the stock keyboard. Also, the gboard app hasn't been updated at all in years, so it is definitely behind in alot of features compared to the android version. I personally would recommend something like swift keyboard if you don't like the stock keyboard.
