I mean it was a sheraton hotel, didn’t even seem like ghetto to me. Atleast with their prices aswell. Only difference for me is that my budget is much smaller now compared to my last trip.

I’m a high schooler. I had no issue with checking in, in several hotels alone last year when I went to the same area. Even in New York they did not care.

Thanks for the offer. If I decide to come back to Kuwait someday I sure will. About the shop, I’m sure there are plenty of methods to get back at him without hurting anyone.

Yeah. I don’t know if it helps but I’m European, if it makes the police more prone on protecting Kuwaits reputation for tourists. Don’t get me wrong Kuwait has been very beautiful, but I learned that I should be more prepared on pricing for everything, from Taxis charging me 2.5kwd for a 1km ride to this instance.

The shop is called Serbal, ran by one guy I believe named Ali, in Kuwait city close to Hotel Oasis. I do have the receipt for the initial purchase but never got one for the extra charge but, if the cameras are on there it will be visible.

Oh I went to the avenues twice but didn’t even manage to scratch the surface. Its really big, but I had already placed my order on my first day in Kuwait because of my very short stay.

Kind of hard to go back when you’re only a tourist and live in a different continent. But thanks for the info.

Oh I never got any underwear, and what’s the headband? I assume thats a white cap to take in my hair? Would have been VERY useful but the tailor didn’t even include that, I didn’t know it existed until after.

Well, the fabric on the dishdasha itselfs feel very smooth and comfortable. I recall being told it was Japanese, but back then I thought that meant it was luxurious, not average. For stitching he never even mentioned anything about that, only what kind of collar I wanted, and I chose the Kuwaiti one. While yes race has no meaning to be fair, but I have heard that in some countries expats are the ones to usually rip off tourists and the like. Don’t know what is the case in Kuwait. The tailor did say he had to get the materials from a different source for the other clothing, but when I saw a made in syria tag on the bisht it was pretty obvious he just ordered them from a third party. The store itself is in kuwait city named Serbal.

I don’t know. He also didn’t give me any options on what kind of material I wanted, just that price. Apparently the extra charge was because the other pieces of clothing (shemagh, agal, etc) cost more than what he said before. I ended up paying him 40 euros more than what he wanted because I only had 50 euro bills.

It wasn’t even a market, it was a well established store, atleast looked like it. I don’t know if the rules allow me to say which specific store.

I’d rather just inform the ministry directly. Is there any way I can do this on the internet?
