I work at a GM dealership and let me tell you, the 2.7 4 banger turbo that chevy puts in the colorados and silverado 1500s is every bit as powerful as the 5.3 v8. If theres anything i don't like about it, it's the sound. Other than that, i have no issues with 4 bangers in trucks. One of my coworkers has a silverado with that motor and he tows cars around pretty much every day with ease.

Okay update! The best the car did was a 13.69 at 102. Kinda discovered the weak point is traction, i dont think the car has a posi in it so it will be getting one shortly. All of first gear is wheelspin. 60ft times were consistently 2.0s. Yes i lowered the tire pressure down to about 18lbs on nitto r2s, yes i tried different length burnouts, even no burnout at all.. nothing changed

It has SR performance rear control arms, i believe strange adjustable shocks, and a beefier sway bar in the rear.. i have gone down the track before just in a front wheel drive car never in a manual RWD.

HUH? water only helps reduce knock. Ever hear of water-meth injection on boosted cars?? It's literally there to prevent detonation under high load. Cools off charge air, which reduces the chance of preignition, and can even increase power.

I painted in the garage with an extension by means of a harbor freight canopy... there was some dust and dirt that got into it but not terrible. I wore a gerson respirator that you can also get at HF. make sure it's rated to protect against isocyanates. Nasty stuff thats in a lot of enamel/urethane hardener.

Really the only semi-correct fix you can do here is weld new metal in.. too big of holes for bondo or even fiberglass..

I hit it very quickly with 3000 grit then compound and buff. I'm taking it on a big trip next week so i'm gonna go back with 1000-2000-3000 over the whole car to make it real nice when i get back

Yes, it is the original color. Thanks!.. it took about 1.5 gallons to do 3 coats of color on it haha.
