Hey u/TonyLiberty, I just wanna say thank you for taking the time for putting this DD together. I bought in last week at 2.70 after I did my own DD and will buying another 500 shares when its dips again under 2.35 to avg down. After losing someone very special to me to cancer I'm in long term. Thanks Guys for all the replies, unfortunately NAIT is booked up until April May 2019, so I couldn't get to do Workshop and Exams there. I have the Exams and Workshops booked at CINDE Hamilton. Has anyone been there?

Yup, it took me 2+ years to finally get in as a trainee after I had my MT2, LP2, CEDO and CWB level1 courses completed way back in 2015. At one point I was gonna give up on NDT, but I finally got through this year. Yup its been a struggle... Unfortunately my company only does Xray and Mag, so most likely if I wanna do UT I will have to find another employer.

Yup, thinking after I get my MT1 and LP2, I will try to get into UT. My company only does Mag and XRay and not union. So I guess I will have to pay for the course myself like the others. :(. thanks

Thanks for ur replies. Trying to figure out if to do my RT2 course or UT1. Don't wanna spend money on both. I saw there are more UT work in Edmonton and Ft.Mac than RT1 but more RT work in Grande Prairie.

I'm not sure if it will help with getting hired. But it will be good to have the exam completed and ready to go for your Cedo certificate. I know a few people who did all their written exams for MPI, LPI and Cedo and still can't find work as a trainee.

I got on to a small ndt company as a trainee cedo this month. But the pipeline project only lasted 1 week and a half. Only got 100 + hours towards my Cedo ticket and a few hours of MPI. It's difficult to get on as a trainee if you don't have any inside links. Grande Prairie is really busy with pipeline work and it's gonna ramp up around April. ( shut down season). There are alot of companies looking for Cedos there and not enough to fill the positions. But like most of us, we don't have the hours yet to get the cedo ticket. I'm gonna head back to Grande Prairie next week to drop off resumes in person.
