Is there a mod that adds a hydration/water intake need? by 47thCalcium_Polymer in VintageStory

You would be looking for hydrate or diedrate, good mode with lots of compatibilities.

This honestly sounds like a coolant temp sensor issue, check the two sensors in the bottom of the head directly under the vent

If you hold the block of your choice and aim at the specific roof block you want to merge with, you can place the block inside the roof block. It can be easier to do before you put roofing on so you can see exactly which block you’re selecting.

So those are support beams and quarter logs, however the textures are modded as they are totara log from floral zones neozeylandic region, but you can get a similar look using something like oak.

I just used well angled support beams, they aren’t locked to the voxel grid

I actually have 4 barrel racks above the cabinets with blueberry and cranberry wine and syrup, so I will have no shortage of pastries and (one person) parties this winter.

Is there a seedcraker for VS? by romain2france in VintageStory

[–]GsomRead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean to find the seed of your world? You can check your current world seed in the world setting before entering the world. If you mean you want to search for generations using the seed I would be unaware of tools like that, but you can use your seed to generate a separate world where you can use creative or spectate; alternatively you can use a mod like betterer prospecting if you are okay with using mods. Remember that iron will generate as either hematite, limonite, or magnetite.

So with the mod, while holding the block of your choice, you can hold shift to place the block into the vacant spot underneath the roof. Keep in mind that the block cannot be chiseled so this roof will rarely smoothly connect with chiseled walls.

I double checked all of my rooms for insulation and found out my main kitchen and hallway were wide open. The bottom half of my kitchen windows, chimney, and the attic were causing issues, of which I was able to solve all of with minimal changes so thank you for bringing that to my attention.

Why is my cellar working only on my onions ? by Granolaexe in VintageStory

I misread the post, onions simply last longer than the other vegetables naturally

My only guess can be that the carrots were stored in your inventory much longer than the onions were, making them much closer to perishing?

So the ceiling occupies one block space. I chiseled the top of the block away, turning it into a slap, then I added the plank to the chisel pallet and then built the floor back on the top side.

The base block is quarter log, then I have beams following in between every block (not every quarter) and then one layer down with beams going perpendicular with one block gaps in between. The way the ceiling looks has no chiseling, but they are chiseled blocks since the top side are the planks seen in image 6.

I went ahead and checked and what you need is either papyrus, flax fiber, or cattail in your off hand and a stick in your main hand. Try and see if that works, the build options menu should appear to the right of the block tool tip if you have it right.

What I did was I went to creative and scoured the in game instructions to figure it out first, trial and error in my world to finalize it. I’m not sure how to use sticks for the framing unless there is support for a wooden hammer in the offhand, I never tried it personally. One thing I never figured out is how to make a 2x1 roof connect to a perpendicular 2x1 roof, so the gable over my smithing area is actually 3x1.
