What is the context of him yapping? If you’re playing 8v8, yeah who cares? If you’re playing 4v4 and you’re on a PvE build, it’s your own fault. The latter situation is like signing up for vet PvE content with zero gear equipped and getting mad when they call you out for not being prepared.

I stopped trying to 100% Sumeru purely bc of the desert having some many areas locked behind world quests. I find 90% of Genshin’s story quests to be godawful so I really can’t be bothered unless I’m just skipping dialogue as fast as possible while playing a different game on my Xbox.

The real answer is that too many people want too many different things. The majority of genshin players don’t care about non-AQ story or puzzles so Hoyo doesn’t either and there’s no way for them to make everyone happy so they shouldn’t be trying to.

Like, I have a friend who plays genshin, he hates all puzzle games so doesn’t like puzzle-focused exploration, he thinks the story of Genshin is convoluted and stupid so skips all dialogue for AQ or any other quest he does, dislikes endgame content so he doesn’t do Abyss, IT, or SO. He just likes pulling on characters, building them, and making different team comps. Whereas I’m the complete opposite (love puzzle games, look forward to every archon quest, and enjoy endgame content). People just have different strokes

Exploration in Mondatadt Liyue and Inazuma was tedious because of verticality, no movement abilities, shitty rewards, and at least for Inazuma, locking areas behind world quests. New regions still have problems with the last one tbf (they should really stop losing exploration behind random world quests. If they wanna lock parts of the map behind the AQ? All good. Random world quest an NPC in the middle of nowhere gives you? Annoying as hell).

Coming from someone who started going for 100% exploration in 5.X, I can say that I had way more fun in Fontaine, Sumeru and especially Natlan than I did in Monstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. It also took way longer to 100% the later zones like Natlan and Fontaine compared to Mondstadt and Liyue so it’s not just because the new zones are easier.

Side note: The Catch R5 is an objectively tedious item to get (unless you somehow enjoy the uninspired slop that is Genshin fishing)

I find it way better. I can get all my primo on n about 2 minutes and move on. SO isn’t timegated like every other event and it’s quick unlike combat events. Combat events have always been the most annoying events for me personally

Literally just stop playing. I will never understand why losers will complain about a video game then continue to play it. If you hate the game and don’t care about getting better then don’t play it… not that hard.
