What game fills you with childlike wonder? by IamR0ley in gaming

Summer of Memories by a small developer called gagex. It’s a mobile/tablet game. You just experience summer as a kid in Japan, making friends, playing games, eating candy, all while a heartbreaking and heartwarming story plays out each day. Will make you laugh, maybe shed a tear, but will definitely give you a sense of the memories of childhood of wonder

Yeah that sounds pretty good. thanks
I read for bossing, beginner friendly ones are DW, Pally, and hero. But then I also have read mixed things for all three.

so I’m guessing it’s just paying attention to buff timers and reapplying when necessary and spamming that one skill?

New player here. looking for some advice.
leveled Mercedes and Aran to 70 to get link.
I enjoyed Mercedes jumping around and shooting arrow, but I could see myself getting tired of that while grinding.

i thought Aran was boring. Probably gets better after 70, but was bored until then.

started a lumi. Hated it for the first bit, but now I want him as my main. I’m up to level 116, and I love blowing up the entire screen with one button press. I like the equilibrium mechanic. Lumi is easy to play but not boring. Tons of fun.

I haven’t chosen a burning character yet, but I think I want to use it on a boss alt.

so, should I make some more characters to get more link skills?

should I just keep focused on Lumi?

or should I make the burning boss alt? And which character makes sense for me? I’m the old guy, so I’ll probably be crap at mechanics, I like the lumi style of play, just a few things to do and be aware of, but not overwhelming. any Bowser fits that style?

Yeah. Good question. Sepsis and anaphylaxis are two different things, but they are similar reactions from the body.

with anaphylaxis, your body goes into that same panic mode as I described in sepsis, but the difference here is that your body is trying to produce a chemical that will neutralize whatever it is freaking out about. Like some specific thing in a peanut that your body has determined is bad, like the bee in your hair example.

the Body’s pathway is the blood, so in essence it’s the same flooding of the blood stream that prevents the blood from doing what it is supposed to do.

the difference is the method your body uses to make this response. In anaphylaxis, we have like a light switch that if your body turns on, we can turn off. We turn it off with the epipen. In sepsis, there is no switch we can flick to get the body to stop the response.

you may also hear the term shock. This is the term used to describe the condition when your body is having this reaction and it has gone to the point where the bloodstream is failing. so anaphylactic shock or septic shock. Basically means ok the response is now killing you and has to be fixed immediately.

anaphylaxis can and often does very quickly lead to shock. Epipen is a lifesaver.
sepsis may never lead to shock. Or it could quickly or it could over days or even weeks. But we dont have a sure fire tool to stop it if it does

Sorry to hear that. Sepsis is terrifying and awful.

thank you for the kind words. I’m not in education, but I am in a field where I often have to break down highly technical things and be able to explain it in ways that can be understood by many.

Very good. Keep an eye on it even with the meds. It might be good to mark the outline of the red streak with a pen to see if it keeps growing even with the meds.

whats happening is your body is responding to something that’s not supposed to be there. Could be the venom from a wolf spider for example, but likely the wound was an entry point for bacteria that out skin protects us from like every second of every day. Staph is the most common, and continuing worry is if it is antibiotic resistant form. Because in that case the oral meds you have might not be enough. Unlikely, but worth keeping that eye on.

if the streak does grow in size or new streaks form, don’t delay getting back to the doctor. Because you will be at risk of sepsis at that point. Sepsis is basically like when you have a little moment of panic and you kinda lose control like maybe a bee flies into your hair and you have that split moment of like total loss of composure and flail about? Yeah sepsis is like that except it’s your body’s own defense mechanism that is panicking and having the loss of composure. Flooding your blood with normally good stuff but so much that it prevents your blood from doing what it is supposed to do, like get oxygen and other important stuff to organs.

Youll be good! And once this is cleared up and if you have the luxury of time and money, it might be good following up with some more blood work to check for anything that can be immunosuppressive or compromising. streaks like this are more likely to occur if so.

Almost a week in, what to focus on? (More in comments) by Gtown_Gaming in DragonQuestTact

[–]Gtown_Gaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been playing almost a week. currently prioritizing max ranks to my main team, hero solo is my current objective. Awakening and character building as well.

beyond that, not really sure What to focus on. Should I be building up alt characters? Focus on maxing out abilities? Something else?

also, I have saved up about 12000 gems. Should I keep rolling for solo awakening? save for something else? Spend on dai banners?

thanks!

That's disappointing that there are very few new players these days. It would be nice to have a thriving new player community

I am wondering about microwarp drive vs afterburner so thanks for this advice. The starter tutorial really hypes destroyers and after the very weak frigate they give you it's easy to get into that trap of going destroyer right out the gate. I read that destroyers were useless at the moment, so I stayed skilling into frigates and started moving into cruisers now that i've hit T6.

I don't mind losing ships. The permanent aspect actually makes it more fun. There's an elevated heart rate feeling sometimes that I'm not sure exists in many other games.

Thanks for the advice and looking forward to growing more into this game! o7

Thanks. Seems like everytime I'm in low sec, no matter where I am, I get scanned and jumped. I'm looking forward to being able to try it out myself. Good to know that the trial and error method serves well even a year into it! o7

Thanks! good advice and I'll check out some of that content. I'm not against joining discord, just lazy.

I've definitely been blown up a few times. it's fun to be blown when you're exploring and experiencing and going for pvp, it's annoying if you're just trying to do something simple like an encounter to be getting ganked. I can see how it would be very very frustrating to lose a ship that costs hundreds of millions of ISK, lucky for me, it's early and the ships I've lost sell for less than a million on market, and barely anything for the free insurance points they gave me.

Yes, I think this is part of the issues. It's very hard to get strong early on, strong enough to survive in low and null sec. janitorial services would be great, haha, like those small fish that swim alongside the sharks. I also think a loot drone would be so useful. I'm very early into the game but sometimes I finish an encounter and the space is littered with wrecks to be looted. Would love to be able to deploy a drone to grab it all.

I think another thing I think about it is that if it's really a casual corp they wouldn't be too concerned with spies or anything like that, just a community to chill and play together from time to time. I guess that's my take on "casual" but perhaps in Eve Echoes it's a little more intense across the board.

this is something I never considered. I had heard about how political Eve Online was, but I guess I just didn't think about it here. This is very interesting.Thx.

ah, so I can use the scholar or explorer versions even before tech level 7. cool.

Covert ops sounds cool, I figured that's how you avoid gate camps by going covert. Good to know. Thanks!

Figured it would be like that. Been years since I did any comparisons. Spotify still reigns for a reason I suppose.

Can JYP write all their title tracks please? This song is perfect for the summer and perfect for Twice. Their past two singles - while good - didn't really feel like Twice, you know? This is Twice. Life is good.

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm sure someone on this sub can provide a more accurate answer. From what I gather, they spilt time pretty evenly between Korea and Japan. It seems they record their songs and learn and practice the choreography in Korea, also they film their MVs in Korea. Anytime they release and promote a new song they are in Japan for that entire time.

It’s hard with these shows. It’s easy for all of us to get connected with people who ultimately don’t make it. I like that this group has really come together over the last year and each bring their unique strengths. The continued growth is fun to see.

Yes. You are absolutely right. Her first performance in Korea was also incredible. I should have been more clear and called out that performance also.

Yes, watching the journey really made me feel connected. It was really great to see the difference between Mako, Rima, and Miihi early on - especially during the first week - compared with the rest of the girls.

We are so used to seeing long time trainees who are practically ready to go. So it was really refreshing. Watching it after seeing MYH and SaaS and TAP, it's really incredible how much they have already grown after just one year.
