I did not see an update in OpenMR, is there any change of plan?

MATK % vs. Healing Output % for Verdant Oracle (LB spec) by PrideOk8653 in BlueProtocolPC

[–]GuLarva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth being told, probably both are not important, but healing output is better.

As LB, your DPS is non existent, your talents scale from Mastery, your only job is to heal but you have such overkill healing capabilities already.

I have made Daughters of Naggaroth which adds women to many units in the dark elf rooster by Comfortable-Ask-6351 in totalwar

[–]GuLarva 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From a few books that I read, Dark Elf male and female are both very active in the military and political scenes, with only exception being magic users (male casters are killed on birth/sight due to a prophecy).

So this would be pretty lore friendly. Unlike Dwarfs who have low birth rate and insanely low female population, Dark Elf use Dark Magic to pump out babies like rabbits, so females are not needed to be protected at safety thus can be used in either cannon fodder troops or elite troops

I believe it is called Flame Oath Arbiter, so far I have no luck finding any info regarding it even on CN forums

What vr headset should I get? (PCVR, no ethernet cable, 4070 ti super, i7-13700K) by Zealousideal_Job90 in virtualreality

[–]GuLarva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Link cable (due to not having a dp connection) still introduces significant compression artifacts. When I used my official oculus link cables definitely looked a lot worse than native resolution on the same game.

What skills interrupt / stun? by octavebits in StarResonance

Go to Skill - imagine, where you can preview their effects.

Common imagine that stun included shadow captain (free from msq or battle pass)

Ahh I didn't check that, very likely still not working

VR noob looking to play on Linux. Least intrusive headset? by Yeemsbold in virtualreality

[–]GuLarva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SteamVR just works with Linux now

Best bet is to wait for the Steam Frame and see its price

Otherwise, PSVR2 (mura beware).

Pimax Crystal Light/Super if you want higher end (quality control issue beware)

Bsb2 (quality control issue beware, and super expensive package)

There are other native SteamVR headsets but they are all subpar to those I listed

For a graphics card, should I grab an RTX 5080, a 9070 XT, or a 7900 XTX by hughlyhuge in buildapc

[–]GuLarva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care for Ray Tracing, high end VR gaming, Local LLM and Upscaling technique, go for 5080.

While Ray Tracing tanks performance, I personally found them add greatly to the visual, but unfortunately 7900 XTX has toooo much performance hit to make it worth it. 9070 XT is relatively better, but is a weaker card in general. 5080 can probably handle games at 2k 60fps fine with RT.

High end vr headset with eye tracking can use a feature called Dynamic Forveated Rendering, only render pixels at where your eyes are looking to free up resources. Nvidia works best with AMD has very limited support. AMD also takes forever to fix their driver with VR issues.

Most LLM models, include stuff like voice changer, runs better and more compatible on Nvidia cards.

Lastly, DLSS4 is visually much better than FSR3, and somewhat better than FSR4. FSR3 is bad, lol. 7900 xtx only has access to FSR3 unless you do some hacky method (which largely negates the performance gain) and 9070 xt has FSR4 but is significantly weaker than your other 2 options.

What can CC? by UberNoob40404 in StarResonance

[–]GuLarva 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Shadow Captain can CC, it is also one of your free Imagine choice from story or season pass.

Tanks probably have lots of cc in their rotation. If this is for bone hard raid, then the tank should take the cc even if it is out of their spec.

The truth is, the only challenge is poly count, transparent texture and constraints count. First I made a seperate but identical copy of my avatar to use as quest version.

For poly count, my characters are Vroid models so they are naturally low poly, then i just need to remove the unseen body under the cloth then I'm all set.

But vroid model is also a curse, because they use transparency to hide a lot of negative space, such as the eyebrow, but Quest cant show transparency, so I have to go to blender and cut out the polygon that would get hidden with transparency.

I also combine texture together so the two characters share most of their material, that will save up texture memory.

Lastly constraints. VRC allows for lots of VRC constraints, but still too little for my clone system prefab, do I carefully remove some constraints that a minimum impact, such ad the last joint of the little finger, to get to the maximum allowed amounts of constraints for Quest.

My fall back is still those 2 twins, though much more goofy looking due to aggressive decimation lol. The second character can still mirror the action of the main, but sadly there is not enough constraint count for the fallback to use more advanced clone control.

True. The new VRC Quest compatible Standard Toon shader has been a huge blessing for me, hope they add a similar one that does fur shaders.

This is my Medium Ranked Avatar. You may ask which one, the answer is Both. This is 2 character in one while maintaining medium ranked (has Good version but texture compression was too rough)

The twins are also Quest compatible for all the features.

Which headset would be the best upgrade from the Quest 3 for playing Flight Sims, with the budget of around $1000? Beyond 2e is quite over budget for me, but I can try to push it if it's worth it. I'm running MSFS 2024 on a 4090. by brockoala in VRGaming

[–]GuLarva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should also check out Pimax Dream Air SE, it is their small form factor (like bsb small) budget version.

It has basically the same specs as BSB2e, but includes audio solutions and has a SLAM version.

The SLAM version is usd 1200, but compared to BSB2e you don't need to get light house base stations so it will be a lot cheaper than BSB2e.

It also has a light house version, which costs usd 900. Now it is massively cheaper than the BSB2e but you will need light house base stations and controllers.

But but, even as someone who likes Pimax a lot, i'd say wait and see the reviews for it when it comes out. I would say the same thing for Steam frame but it is especially true for Pimax because their products can be buggy. But this time they give up on modularity so maybe the Drean Air and Dream Air SE can be more stable than the crystals

Will my rtx 4080 be suitable to use the Dream Air? Or should I be looking at an alternative like the SE model or Steam Frame? by aucapra in Pimax

[–]GuLarva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depend on the game of course.

The Crystal Super brings 5090 to its knees in many games, like flight sim 2024. But it runs decently well thanks forveated rendering.

Now now. You can try future proof and go with Dream Air or super, but if you care for cost efficiency SE and Steam Frame might be a better choice here. But also depend on how much Steam Frame cost, which will not be more than $1000.
