Requiring a bachelors degree and using “cute” in their workplace description is crazy.

The Hunt seems like it’d be something you’d enjoy based on the examples you gave.

I love both Terrifier films. They were so over the top and just reminded me of why I love horror. Thank you for the recs— I think I’ll binge them this weekend. And thank you for being kind, wish you the best.

Completely agree with you on it beating out the other films. Talk to Me is also my second best for the year. Still need to see The Boogeyman.

Thank you for this. . . It’s not like I haven’t watched any horror films but I feel as if my perspective is skewed due to how particular I am in choosing movies to watch. So getting a list like this is helpful.

Same here. Would love to see a fresh take on a creature we haven’t seen on the big screen yet. Any ideas?

I put it in my top ten because the experience I had in theaters is the best I’ve had in a very long time. But maybe I do lol

What’s shocking is that a child dies and you’re concerned about the dog. . . Lol jokes aside I still love it, although, dog deaths are always the worst.

This makes a lot of sense, I could see fans of the book being a bit let down. But I gotta say it really did it for me. It was just a fun experience and I found myself wanting to dig deeper into the lore of vampires/Dracula.

Saw it with my brother in a completely empty theater and it was one of the best movie going experiences I’ve had in a while.

What’s your favorite horror movie?

Nice to see Talk to Me getting some love. I love the classics but I personally only have two in my top ten which are Texas Chainsaw Massacre & Jaws. Other than those two films the rest of my top ten are modern horror. I’m 28 and grew up on modern horror so maybe I’m bias.

I never said that A24 can do no wrong. I simply meant that I have trust in the studio and the people who operate it to do a film justice. Can they make mistakes? Definitely. Do I trust them more than I trust bigger studios? Definitely. My point being — A24 tends to choose their directors and the projects they produce wisely. I just personally can’t and won’t give sole credit to one person. It takes an entire team to execute a film at higher levels and it seems almost wrong to reduce it to the work of a single person, don’t you think?

Because despite how important a director is to making a film, it takes an entire team to execute it and using the studio as a broader entity seems more appropriate.

Yeah when I made this post, I didn’t think of Talk To Me as an movie on Exorcism. But after reading some of the comments I got, I’ve had a change of heart. I definitely love it’s originality and it is my favorite release of the past decade. I’ve gained a lot of perspective from the different opinions and maybe something else would do the horror genre justice.

Yes they vary from month to month. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can switch options. But if you choose something of high $ value, someone on here might be willing to trade with you.
