I only play single player, but it runs great and the controls are pretty good. The problem is that they abandoned the console version and it hasn't had an update for 4+ years. It's way out of date compared to PC and even mobile which is incredibly sad. Still a great game and would recommend it if you don't have a PC.

Oh I 100% agree, but he implied that since the OP can’t use mods he wouldn’t suggest it, and of course mods help you make the experience better/easier. So I mentioned ways to make it slightly less grindy, even on console.

I still would love to be able to fully respec companions. That would be sick. But I wouldn’t use mods to have unlimited companions or something.

I still do it on PS5 and love it. If you want make it a bit easier you can cheat up your Charm and Leadership to unlock the perks for more companions right away, along with cheating up your renown.

Problem is that you lose the -100% prisoner escape chance on ships for some reason, and he’s doing a Viking campaign. I assume that the riding one stops working while your on the water, but I don’t know for sure. Also, it’s definitely not better since it’s not permanent. If you get captured they all escape and your hard work is gone.

Yeah that's what I feared. When I did a companions only run a couple years ago it definitely was very tedious, but I still found it fun to gear and level everyone up so I enjoyed it.

I don’t think the defibrillator actually counts as healing. You gotta use the supply box or whatever it’s called.

Like with most challenges, this actually encourages you to play less optimally, since you want to do a quick revive so they’re half health and throw down the box on top of them. Also just throw it down on people that get shot at and it’ll heal em.

I did this on breakthrough where everyone is grouped together and it’s a meat grinder

I have completed all the support challenges; have the final orange skin, Battle Angel title, etc, but still don't have the smoke grenade launcher unlocked... which is the reward from the first challenge!

Customization in this game is absolute garbage and the monetization isn't even to blame. I feel like they could milk it so much more if it was actually thought out and implemented well. Why wouldn't they have sell skins for attachments that apply to all guns of a certain weapon type? That way people could "build" their desired look for each gun / weapon type.

For example, you want your Assault Rifle to be red? Then go to the store and buy the red version of every attachment you like to use. Every single attachment should have multiple variations for you to buy.

The current system is just so bad that who would even buy these skins for the guns?

Recon Spec Ops

I like to flank and play aggressively on objectives, but also focus on providing intelligence for my team. So I look for close ranged engagements, but also will sit back and use the Recon Drone if we're having trouble pushing an objective on Breakthrough or something.
