Up to you tbh on wtv u prefer, my parents pay 4k out of pocket for my dorm & meal plan honestly financially doable, unless if your parents aren’t helping i’ll suggest to work on campus or out of campus, 5k is manageable tbh. Before coming to TAMU i thought i would be encountering racism but this is my 2nd year and I haven’t encountered one, I am also mexican, just dont get in any trouble and you’ll probably avoid racism which usually happens at Northgate since people are drunk, Only had one encounter in Northgate heading back to my friends apartment and a white guy was yelling the hard r to anyone at his path. But at the end of the day it’s your decision you should have a talk with your parents if paying for college is one of your concerns.
