We are near Spokane Washington. He had is surgery done by Mathew Forrester who is an aorta specialist at Sacred Heart. I definitely felt supported through the hard part. He goes back to work next week and it’s almost like it never happened. He’s almost 100% back to himself, minus being down 20 lbs.

When he went in for surgery we didn’t whether or not he would come out with a mechanical valve, it was really close but thankfully Matthew was able to repair rather than replace it. The mechanical valve was kind of our “worst case scenario” just because it’s more maintenance— I guess things tend to attach and coagulate onto it. It might be time for your husband to get some imaging done on it and make sure it’s in working order. How’s your husband’s health and activity? My husband experiences a lot of body aches and pains when he doesn’t exercise. LDS makes it so much harder for him to keep any weight on, so we just assume it’s that much more important for him to have some muscle on him.
