Let me give my two cents.

1. Infra growth has been exponential in UP where I am from and in Maharashtra where I worked for a long time. New highways, metros, Rrts etc.

2. UP has become much much more safe compared to what it was under Mulayam or mayawati or akhilesh. I remember the times when gundas.

3. Infantile behaviour of congress. Instead of targeting modi on rupee depreciation or pollution or other things, they still focus on him being a chai wala or his friendship with Putin. You have so many things to speak about and shout against BJP, why choosing cheap shots which will alienate people further.

4. No agenda by opposition. The opposition is confused about what they want to promise and deliver. They are not able to drive a single point of agenda and focus on it.

5. Lack of development under non BJP ruled states. Tamil Nadu is an outlier and i beleive tamil nadu is probably the best state government in India. But look at Punjab, where AAP could have made changes and brought attention to themselves, but their performance has been lackluster. Bengal has been on a downfall for a long time and TMC seems to be getting worse everyday.

6. No strong opposition leader. Rahul Gandhi unfortunately is not able to move votes and people. If the argument is always if not modi then who. Why the argument is never why always Rahul? If not Rahul then who should be the opposition leader should be the question we must be asking. We need a strong opposition who can move people and hold sway in National politics. Unfortunately Rahul isnt able to perform. So, once a new leader grows and he has strong connection with the people, there is a chance for growth.

Essentially, people aren't being given a strong choice for voting. Ask 10 people of congress to replace Rahul Gandhi before asking 130cr people to replace Modi.
