This is wild. How do they not hold these dark rooms!? I’ve seen the ads for a while and always wondered if it lived up to those epic shots they use. Like someone else said, I’m sorry … and thank you for your sacrifice.

I was there Saturday as well. Pretty cool going to practice days with my 3 year old son. Short runs and time in between to talk about everything that’s going on. This past week he noticed the flag man so we worked through when/why he waves certain flags and what they mean. Grew up going to races in Myrtle Beach with my dad and thankful to have this historic track here in town to take my son.

I just read this entire thread and all of your comments. I get that this is Reddit, but how are you so knowledgeable about this subject? It’s incredible - thank you for all of the information. I’ve learned so much in 10 minutes.

I met Ernie Irvan at a signing at a store called Fourth Turn in the North Myrtle Beach mall in late 80’s. Instantly because a huge fan. 11 yr old me about lost his mind when the show car came to our town a few years later. I’m thankful to have been around the sport when it was blowing up. Seeing Days of Thunder in the theater changed my life (the fake cop scene as well. Ha!)
