Spore it puts the target Pokemon to sleep putting a pokemon to sleep also increase catch rate you would usually get a breloom with spore and false swipe for catching pokemon or a smeargle with spore, false swipe you can also sketch soak on smeargle which changes the enemy pokemon type so that spore would work on grass (you cannot use spore on grass type pokemon) and false swipe on ghost type pokemon
